How long does it typically take to resolve the 221g once the document is submitted? 

Hi, my fiancé has his interview next week. We have all of the required documents ready. The only problem is that he lived in Australia for a year and therefore requested an AFP police check but it has not arrived. Does anyone have any experience with inability to present a document or police check at the interview because of delivery time? He has his other police checks ready from France and Canada but we are missing only this one. He did not commit any crimes in Australia. 

We read on some forums that some people were given waivers and granted the visa because they were able to show that they requested the police check and it just didn’t arrive in time. If the officer insists on the police check will we just need to submit it later or will we be denied?
