    Hi guys!

I have gathered all my evidence:

    • Copy of our marriage certificate
    • Copy of our car insurance policy
    • Copy of our BJ’s household membership cards
    • Copies of the joint tax statements for the previous two years (2018-2019)
    • Copies of statements of the last six months from our joint checking and savings accounts.
    • Copy of XXXX renter’s insurance policy
    • Copy of the joint lien agreement on our car
    • Copy of our joint loan account from XXXX
    • Copy of medical insurance cards, showing joint policy

That's all I have. Would that be sufficient? Unfortunately, we haven't taken any trips anywhere so I don't have receipts or airline tickets to show anything.  Also, the I751 is the only form I need to file to remove conditions correct? I know with the AOS I had to submit a few forms.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

Based off the request for evidence list I received, your list looks pretty good. If you have children, add birth certificates, school records, or anything really that shows both of you have legal and financial responsibilities.

We included copies of our gym memberships, theme park memberships, and contract at a storage lot we rent.

Hope this helps and good luck!

  2. Hello,

We just received a letter requesting evidence for my husbands removal of conditions. The letter has a list of things we need to send in, but then says "Any other relevant documents not already mentioned. PLEASE DO NOT SEND COPIES OF DOCUMENTS PREVIOUSLY SUBMITTED."

Because this was submitted in June of 2019, I don't remember what I sent in. I thought I made a list of what I sent in on my work station laptop but I can't find it. I'm wondering if anyone has sent in documents more than once.

Also it's a little difficult to get more affidavits with covid19 in place.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks

The entire process for us took exactly 12 months (from sending the initial application to port of entry). Below is my reply to another post:

    ====

Hello, I am a USC by birth and my Canadian husband has a 10-year green card. Last year I petitioned for my Canadian stepdaughter  (she is 14 years old) and I submitted an I-130 and everything was approved for us.

    This is what we sent:

    1. Completed I-130 form + fee

    2. Copy of my stepdaughter's Canadian passport and birth certificate (showing my husband's name as her father)

    3. Copy of my US passport and birth certificate (proving I am a US citizen)

    4. Copy of my husband's Canadian passport and US green card

    5. Marriage certificate between my husband (my stepdaughter's dad) and myself

    6. A notarized consent letter from my husband's ex-girlfriend (they were never married) giving permission to my stepdaughter to permanently move to the USA with us

    ====

    Hi,

what did the letter of consent state?

I'm not sure what to include.

  6. Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me answer a few questions.

I am the USC petitioning my stepson to become a permanent resident. Biological Dad is a PR while Biological Mom can no longer take care of child.

I have read many different things about the parental consent letter we need to obtain from biological mother.

We made an appointment at the US embassy in Mexico City where Mom will have a letter of consent notarized.

Any idea or template of what the form should include???

Please help, appointment for letter to be notarized is in 2 days.

    Thank you.

  7. Hello,

Does CC mean the letter your receive stating you are in queue waiting for an interview date? If so I received that letter on 11/16 but NVC advised over the phone it was on 11/08.

I am currently waiting for the interview date. I also submitted to expedite my case today.

Any information on how much longer it may take?

    Thanks.
