  1. My NOA is expiring on 3/21/2008, but my I-551 stamp on my passport is valid until June 2008. Will I receive a new NOA when my original NOA expires, or can I wait until my I-551 stamp expires and then get a new stamp from USCIS? In either case, can I go to USCIS before the expiration date, or will they give a new NOA/stamp only when the previous has expired? My case is with TSC.

  2. I recently accepted a new job and need to fill in the I-9 form. My I-751 is pending and I have non-resctricted social security card and I-551 stamp on my passport. On I-9 form where it asks if I am:

*A citizen or national of the United States

    *A lawful permanent resident (Alien #) A

*An alien authorized to work until (Alien # or Admission #)

Which option should I check (obviously not the first one)?

    thanks

  3. I submitted my I-751, got a Notice of Action and had my biometrics appointment. I've been tracking my case status online and even though it was "touched" few days after my biometrics, the status still says "petition to remove conditions of permanent resident status received". The date show's 3/29/07. Does this mean that my application has been approved and it's in the processing, or do I have to wait for approval before they start to process it? My case is with Texas Service Center.

  4. Seems more like they were living abroad all the time, with the minumum once a yr visit to the states to keep the GC. At the airport on international flights, they check your green card before departure and would remind you, if during your trip it would expire... i know cause I worked for AA.

Also, having to renew your GC overseas takes 6-9 months longer than in the US! Have fun wherever you are, cause it will be a while before you return... and have some explaining to do with immigration when you do.

Excuse me but, what makes you think that we haven't lived in the US all this time? Anyway, we've lived in the US all this time. I did some research and it seem that I'll just have to enter the US on a 90 day tourist visa, schedule an appointment with USCIS and file I-751 late.
