  1. Hello everyone,

i have a question: can I marry someone while being on a tourist visa in the US, and then come back to the country where I legally reside (I am from somewhere else, I’m on a student visa here in Europe) and later apply for a Spouse Visa?

i’ve met the love of my life in Europe, however, he must return to the US soon as he got military orders to go back. I am currently doing my degree and I will be done by September 2020. We want to be together,  but I want and need to finish university before I plan on doing anything else. We thought about getting married so we can be together, and as his job is there and he cannot really choose where to go and my job will be flexible, we decided that I might join him over there. My question is: I am planning on visiting him in April, I already have a US tourist visa that expires in 2021. What happens if we were to get married while I’m a tourist there? I will be there for less than 15 days and I must go back to my country to finish my degree and work (I also have two jobs waiting for me here) After marrying we would of course apply for a spouse visa so I could join him as soon as I’m done, so basically while we would wait for the spouse visa to get approved I would be finishing up my degree.

Is is this legal? Possible? Any stories or help you guys could give me? We are a bit confused about this. As we also

thought of getting married here in Europe (Denmark, where everyone marries here because of paperwork) but that’s way more expensive...

    please, help?

    Thanks in advance!
