I filed for I130 at in late Jan.2007.
NO1 dated 2/06/07
Nothing has been touched since then. Its in the California Center.
Filed for K3 mid Feb. 2007. Recieved NO1 for K3, it was also transfered to California Center.
Nothing is being touched. What can be done. This is terrible. I'm a natural born American citizen just trying to get my wife here.
The processing date shows October 13,2006....Does this mean I have to wait under 5 months before my I130 even gets looked at???????
someone please advise,
Ron
It all depends.... for some, the wait is minimal. For many others, like myself, the 6 months waiting time shown on their website means absolutely nothing. Our case is almost 10 months old, and we still have not received our NOA2...
And my wife is pregnant...
This is the most frustrating and heartbreaking experience ever...
Good luck to you guys...

CONGRATS!!!! AND GOOD LUCK FOR THE FUTURE
Greetings,
While I pray for the best for you two, I am afraid that you will be waiting awhile for your NOA2 from the California Service Center. You never know, because you can get a good examiner that pushes your paperwork through, but then again, you could easily be like our case, which has yet to be adjudicated and we've waited more than 9 months so far. My wife is from Peru also. They seem to take extra long time for applications from Peru for an I-130...
Good luck... Our congressman said that USCIS promised to get a final response this Friday. I'll believe it when I see it. Hard to believe we'll ever get our NOA2...

Oh, my God I just received an Email, I was approved for my I130, after 10 months, I'm so happy.
On 03/30/07 I sent my I129f is this is a problem because only the I130 was approved. What should I do now?thanks for all your help.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
We too have been waiting a long time (since August 2, 2006). Just yesterday, I received a phone call from the congressman's office in Los Angeles. He was responding to a letter I sent the previous week in which I detailed the abnormally long processing times of USCIS.
The man from Congressmans' office was so incredibly helpful. He asked a few questions about the particulars of our case, and then he immediately called the USCIS California Service Center. He called back in 5 minutes, after having someone physically find our paperwork, and found that it was on an examiners' desk. He said that he was pretty sure that the paperwork would be finished processing no later than 1 week's time. He promised to followup next week with me to make sure that this happened like he anticipates.
He also said he would watch our paperwork and its progress at the National Visa Center. Also, he said his office had very good relations with the consulate in Peru, and that he would call the Ambassador to Peru directly to make sure our paperwork was processed as quickly as humanly possible.
For the first time in the past 9 months, my wife and I have faith that our paperwork will finally get completed, and that we can be reunited. THANK GOD!!!

Great news!!! Congratulations
Dorothy
I don't get it... why do some folks get their cases processed within 2-3 months, and other like you and I, are stuck for close to a year or more...
GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Calm down try looking at my time line for unfair.
And look at our timeline too... we have been waiting since August 2, 2006 for CSC to give us any information. We received our first touch just today 3-26-2007.
Be patient. Some people have their cases processed very rapidly, and some, like ours, take forever....

Hang in there, everyone. I know it's especially frustrating when you haven't been "touched" in a while and you begin to think your petition's lost or sitting on a dusty shelf somewhere. But just when you think you're never going to get an approval, those wonderful multiple emails from CRIS will appear in your inbox.
I've been keeping up hope, waiting everyday for this to happen, but after almost 8 months of waiting, my wife and I have basically given up hope on ever hearing back from immigration. Called the CSC more than 10+ times, and they are worthless. Never are able to provide any insight. I have watched a quite a few other I-130's that were submitted the same day as ours to the CSC, and none of them ever change. Status = pending. Every single day, the same thing. It is groundhog day.

Things are moving at CSC. Currently they are processing 9/13/06 cases. So that 7-8 month trajectory is still holding.
Actually, they CLAIM they are processing 9/13/06 cases. They received our case August 2, and have not done one thing with our paperwork. Not a even one touch. I have called probably 10 or more times, and have not gotten anywhere. They have taken two difference reference numbers, and they promised to call with an update with 45 days. Guess what? They haven't even called back. Not once.
They are simply not processing applications anywhere near their claimed processing times on their website. For some, they process within 1-2 months. For others, like me and my wife, they have had it 8+ months, and haven't done one thing.

Greetings all,
Ok, me and my wife have been waiting since August 2, 2006, and still we have received nothing besides the NOA1 from USCIS. I called and received a reference # and a promise that the CSC would contact us within 45 days with a status update. Well, it has been 16 days so far, and nada. No call, no email.
I really don't understand why I can't seem to find anyone else here with the same situation. Everyone else seems to get their NOA2 much quicker. Some as soon as 2-3 months. Doesn't make sense. What the heck is their problem??
The processing timeline on the USCIS website is just completely untrue. They claim to have completed cases received on August 20, 2006, and that was almost a month ago that they gave this date as the date they were supposedly finished processing!!!!
What the heck is going on here????

Greetings all,
It is very frustrating to see all the posts where everyone else seems to have their I-130's approved in a relatively timely manner. We have been waiting since August 2, 2006. Nothing. No touches. Nothing. Their website is absolutely a lie when it says they have completed paperwork for people from August 20, 2006. I put in a few other numbers similar to ours, with the same receipt date, and all of them show "pending."
I called the number to try to get a status update, as they are no outside of their normal processing time of six months. After jumping through hoop after hoop, and spending more than 30 minutes answering a bunch of really stupid questions, the person gave me a reference number and said someone from the California Service Center would contact me with an update within, get this, 45 DAYS!
WE'RE both beyond frustrated
. The USCIS's website timelines are totally bogus, and trying to get a response from them is like talking to a brick wall. Actually, I think we'd get further talking to a brick wall.
ANY SUGGESTIONS???? Are we EVER going to get a response?
Tom
Interesting.....what CSC operator said about current processing times.

Their posted processing dates are pure B.S. Our NOA1 was issues 8/2/2006. We have yet to receive ANY word of our status... despite USCIS being contacted by two separate congressman's offices...
