I am trying to find out how to bring my mother and father inlaw to the United States. My husband is a permant resident as of March 2007, We are expecting our first child this december and would like his parents to come vist for at least 6 months maybe a year.

I was told that his parents had to file on there own, But when they went to the emabssy they were told that We would have to file. Please help any info is welcome. Thank you

we have already gotten the letter in the mail, But we have been waiting for about 2 weeks, on the embassy to get ahold of us so my husband can go in for his immigrant visa interview or so they can take his passport, about how long dose this usally take is my question. You know about how long dose it usally take for them to call you?

  3. Dose anyone happen to know what the next step is after your I601 and I212 waveirs are approved?

My husband was just approved on feb 7,07 and we have not heard anything from the embassy. Although we have an approvel letter from the consulate in Vienna. Approx how long should it take before the embassy calls him in for his passport and visa? Any help anyone could give is greatful.

  4. I dont know if you will reply to me. But I kinda need some help. My husband was just approved his waviers (601-212) and I am trying to find out the timeline for him to go into the embassy for his visa. Can you give me some Ideal? Thanks and congrats on your approvel

THE letter came today and I must admit to being too darned scared to open it so I gave it to Alan, it's his waiver after all  and he is APPROVED.....WOOOOHOOOOO it's all over we are finally on our way.

We are going to book the flights this weekend for 2 weeks today (should give us plenty of time to get his passport back) arrange the shippers for the furniture and get the dogs booked in as cargo on the same flight as us and then off to sunny Florida

What a fantastic feeling, we are so damned happy today, did a "bit" of celebrating last night for the case complete and must admit to a "small" hangover this morning and now I have to go and do it all again for the approval :help:

Good luck to all who are still waiting and waiting, hope you all get to be with you loved ones soon

  5. I submitted my waiver a few months ago at Juarez. If my case is approved, will I receive an approval letter from the consular in Juarez or DHS? Will this letter tell me I was approved and my visa pick up date? Or only my approval and I will get a visa pick up date in a separate letter? Someone told me you only get a letter if your denied, but I think they are wrong. I think you get a letter if you approved? Thx.

If you are approved or denied you will get a letter from where ever you filed your waviers. So if you submited it at the embassy inn Juarez then you should get a letter from them stating that you were approved. Second, Im not too sure on your visa pick up date? Did you already turn in your passport? and if not then they will contact you for another interview date.

Can I send a letter to the consulate about hardships? I am not sure if they are going to deny us or not, but I think they will. They hate African American and Moroccan couples. I am in the military and i can not leave until my enlistment is up? What do you think and what should I do? I was thinking of writing a statement for my ficane to take with him to the interview is this something I should or not? I am just a bit worried but I like to be prepared for things.

Waviers are very tricky, Make sure you have proof for everything u submit to the embassy. I was just approved for my husband's I601 and I212 wavier this past Feb 7th, 07. But I had to refile them because the first time they were denied. Check out the Immigrate2us.net website, and see if there is a letter on there that can help you draft your own. By the way I do not recommend using an attorny for this. It is my personal experiance that if you use an attorny then you will be denied.
