Ya I told him he wasn't allowed to vote and asked him how? He said he thought he was a citizen of the US. It started when his neighbor came over and started talking about the election. He used to vote back home and so when they got talking, he completly forgot that he was perm res status and went to vote. Later he was telling me about it and that's how I told him we're Not allowed. So now he's all freaked out that he's going to get deported and the Feds are going to come knocking on his door. I hear that it might affect his naturalization but will it affect his removal of conditions?

I think he just took a bill with him but he's not planning on getting his citizenship.

So my friend today accidentally voted in the local election when he shoudn't have. He's really stressed out and thinks that he might get deported. Does anyone have any advice on what to do? Can he cancel his ballot? Will this affect the removal of his conditions?

YES FINALLY, received an email that my card is being produced and my welcome package should be coming. They say 30 days for the card, does anyone know if it really is 30 days or is it less?? My wedding in canada is sept 6 and we're leaving aug 27 so i just want to know if i'll get it in time or should i postpone the wedding til next year?

Do you think I can leave the country and hopefully when i'm away, receive my AP and use that to come back? do they check for your AP when you leave the country?

Is anyone having problems with their case being transferred to California and then not being touched for ages. I filed my I485 in January and then it got transferred in february and touched in march and there hasn't been anything else with ever since. I called uscis and they said I still have 35 more days til I can report something as normal waiting time is 180 days. This is killing me. I'm suppose to leave the country to get married at the end of the month and I'm afraid that there will be a brideless wedding.

I applied for an AP but i'm wondering if i'll get it before I leave. I applied in July. Do they look at the dates you need to leave? Can they speed it up?

Is anyone in the same boat? I don't know what to do.

It has been 126 days since my NOA for AOS. I haven't had a touch since they last received my RFE. Is there anyone who has a similar NOA date as me????? I am totally starting to freak out and if there is someone else waiting.. it will give me some peace of mind that I am not alone...........

Also, Is there something I can do to inquiry about my case??? do they have a telephone line? or should I send out a letter? Please advise. I am starting to feel desperate. thanks.

Does anybody know how long it will take to get an interview notice? I think I'm going to end up having an interview because I came in on and F-1 visa, and before that on my dad's work visas. And do they usually show it as a touch if you are getting an interview or do you just receive something in the mail? Thanks!

Hey january filers. Finally going to mail in my aos tomorrow.

I'm filling out the I485 and i'm just confused on part 1 where it asks my family name. Do i put my maiden name that i was using on the K1 or do i put my new married name now??

Also, i'm confused about getting my social security number, can i apply for it now or do i have to wait til i get my EAD??
