  1. My EAD card will be expired on April 10, 08. I have sent the renew application in Oct 10, 07. I went to the local office

today to inquire about the process and the interim EAD since it has been more than 90 days after I sent the application.

The officer told me that I should come back 30 days before my current EAD card expires (March, 10, 08) and she will

forward the request to the Service Center. However, she said, there still might be gap between my current EAD and the

    new EAD.

I wonder what is this interim EAD? I thought that the interim EAD is issued temporally for preventing such gap. I am

worried that I might need to quit the job if I don't get the renewed EAD on time.

Thanks in advance for any information.

  2. Hi guys,

I got a letter today asking for Form I-693/I-693A. I have sent them together with I-130/485/765 last month. The letter doesn't mention anything about what's wrong with the original forms. I have been reading my own copies of Form I-693/693A and can't find any mistakes (TB/Syphilis/HIV tests are down and the vaccine is complete) except that Form I-693 expires on 04/30/2005. Is the problem the outdated form? I didn't pay attention before since the doctor provided this form for me. I called the clinical and was told to pay another $150.00 for a new test. It is hard for me to pay again if the problem is that the form is outdated. What do you guys think I should do?

    Thanks.

  3. Hi guys,

I got this email several days after I got the mail about biometrics appointment (Mar. 22). I don't know if this email is refer to biometrics appointment (since I didn't get email mention the bio-appointment) or some RFE that I read a lot on this site. So my question is should I just ignore this email or wait for a RFE notice concerning something else that I don't know yet?

    Thanks a lot.

  4. My wife just received her NOA for I-130/485/765 in the mail. The received date on the three forms says October 28, 2006 but the forms were mailed on Feb. 24, 2007, so the received date cannot possibly be correct.

We are supposed to report all errors immediately.

When I called USCIS and entered her case #, it said the case # was not found. Is there another way to report this error?

Suggestions of any sort would be greatly appreciated.

  5. I saw one post mention" If you sent a personal check, you can get your case number off the back of the endorsement...once it is cashed."

I sent my stuff to the Chicago Lockbox 14 days ago. The three checks I wrote for I130/I485/I765 were cashed 3 days ago and I haven't got my application receipt number in the mail. I looked at the endorsement of these checks and found a 10 digit number that is the same on all three checks. However the USCIS website says the application receipt number should be 13-character beginning with three letters such as (EAC, WAC, LIN, or SRC). I could not find any of similar three letters anywhere on the endorsement. I wonder if any of you can tell me more about it.

    Thank you very much.

I know I am too rush about it. I should just wait for the mail.

  6. While my wife was an undergraduate in China she was asked by the local Communist Party to join. At that time in her university, this was not something that could be refused without consequences. So, she joined was a member from 1995-1998.

We are planning to write a brief letter explaining this situation to USCIS.

Has anyone been in a similar situation, had similar experiences, or have any additional advice?
