  1. Hello, everyone, I am new here. I filed for N400 in Jan2020 under the 3year rule. I'm a Chicago filer. My biometric done on Feb2020 and then in Dec 2020 I got scheduled for an interview it's on January 21, 2021, at 9 am. My i-751 is also pending and my current status for I 751 says my case is ready for a schedule for an interview since April 2019. I want to know will they conduct interviews for both my applications coz I got a notice for my n400 interview, not for my i751. If someone recently got interviewed in the Chicago field office please share your experience. TIA

You will need your mother birth certificate for sure. If you don't have it check with some other family member but in case it doesn't exist at all. You can re-register her birthday certificate with late registration fees. I just did it for my father, he didn't have any records available so I make a new one for him from scratch.

    Okay Thanks alot..

First to all Congratulation on getting your citizenship done. i think we are in the same boat i had my citizenship interview done and just got mail for my oath ceremony.

i will apply for my father as soon after i get my citizenship certificate. you need to file form I-130 along with supporting documents. it can be Your Mother Birth certificate, Her Marriage certificate, FRC if you have one its Family registration certificate from Pakistan, you can get it online at Nadra website for (1500PKR), and most important copy of your Citizenship certificate. you don't really need a lawyer to fill out that application. if you need any info you can ask anytime and Good luck with new process.

Thanks I have a question.. my mom doesn't have her birth certificate.. so can I send my birth certificate in supporting documents it's showing her name in my certificate..

I’m in the same position. Because I am the petitioner (for my mother) I have to file I-864, together with I-864A form filled by my husband. Here’s a quote from uscis website:

You, the sponsor, should complete Form I-864 when your relative has been scheduled for an immigrant visa interview with a consular officer overseas or when your relative is about to submit an application for adjustment to permanent resident status with the USCIS or with an Immigration Court in the United States. If you have a joint sponsor, they must also complete Form I-864. If you are using the income of other household members to qualify, then each household member who is accepting legal responsibility for supporting your relative must complete a separate Form I-864A, Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member

I hope this helps. Wishing you the best.

So I have to file i-864 with my husband jointly.. thank you Soo much.. i there any sample of jointly file I -864 because this form is very confusing I don't know what to fill and how to fill..
