ok so what are those provisions? where can i find that ?

Hi HotLegz....yes he has been living here with us since 2005, and only normally goes to visit his mom for the summer. But this summer we decided to try something different to benefit him and her. ( that another story). Maybe I didnt say this right, but he does have the 10year permanent resident card. They came on a fiancee visa...then got the temp 2 year card, and now he has the 10 year card. So you saying that 10 year permemant resident card, is only good for working and traveling( only 6 mos at a time)??

Hey Yardies !!...my 8 yr old stepson has a 10 yr green card along with his his father ( my husband). He went to visit his mom in Jamaica in June 08 for the summer as usual, but this time, we decided to let him stay with his mom to attend school, at least for one year. My question is, can he only stay for 6 mos, or can he stay for at least a year because he has the 10yr green card? And if he comes back, how long does he have to stay in the US before he can go back to Jamaica, lets say to finish this school year out? A week? Longer? I thought I would post here before I call the USCIS.

Just wanted to let you know, I mailed off my I-751 papers, and i got the 1 year extension letter today ! My check was cashed by CSC, and I hear thats a good thing, so keep your fingers crossed !!!

We are getting ready to apply for 10yr visa... For 2005 He didnt file taxes because no income, but i did include him and his son ( who lives with us) on mine. In 2006 we filed seperately because I did not want him to be liable fo rmy income tax debt that I had at the time. Do you think that is going to be a problem when we get ready to file?? We have other things like bills, mail, affadivits, insurance papers, bank accounts, and credit cards statements. I am really starting to get nervous.

Wha Gwan yardies ! How ya stay ? Need some help ! Going to JA for a few days in the next 2 weeks, and i wanted to stay somewhere other than where my husband is from, Ocho, so i was thinking about Negril. Can anyone give me some suggestions on reasonable hotels, that 2 ladies can stay at for a few days? I found some specials on travelocity.com for that time, but not sure about the hotels they are offering. I am brining my step-son down for the summer, and his dad is going to pick him back up in AUgust, when he goes to Jamaica for Independence. So i want to have some fun, my first time in Negril..not sure how much fun i can have now that I'm a married lady ( smile )

Well....as for me and my yardies, we are doing fine. We went for our biometrics appt yesterday, and that work permit cant come soon enough !! If i got to hear about this one more day I'm gonna scream !

We've been having our ups and downs, and I wonder if thats to be expected so soon? We've only been married 3 months ! Wow, 3 months, it just dawned on me ( laugh )
