After receiving the CR1 visa, could my husband come to US for 1 week and return  or does he need to stay here until he gets his green card?

i have filed for i130 for my husband who is currently in Australia.

I130 got approved and I recieved the email from NVC.

I just had a couple questions.

1. How long does it usually take after the NVC email for the embassy interview? His interview will be at Sydney,Australia.

2. His Australian citizenship is in process and his interview will be end of June for the citizenship there. He will get his Australian passport after that.

When he goes for the embassy interview for US, does the visa get stamped in the passport or will he be getting green card? We are just wondering what will be done once he get new passport if the visa gets stamped in his current passport.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Our I 130 for spouse got approved on 02/28. I still havent received any notification from NVC. Anyone with similar timeline still waiting for NVC notification?

Thank you...I was just confused when I saw the posts about filing i130 and i 485 together. Didnt  know it was for who is already in US.

Thank you...When he comes to the US after i130 approval,do we need to apply for Employment authorization for him to be able to work here?
