  1. Just out of curiosity ...i was wondering who all you VJers are ? Are you the beneficiary or the petitioner ?

In my case i'm the beneficiary... my husband doesn't have the patience or the time to deal with all the paperwork that this visa journey involves...so i took it up on myself to gather, inquire and find out what needed to be done to bring this journey to a good end ?

So who are you guys, who did all the legg work...who is on here ?

Hello Marijke. I am the petitioner. My wifes job is to take care of our two beautiful babies. I did all the visa work...

  2. Hello friends. first of all thanx for remembering me.

I just came back yesterday from my trip. i was in pakistan visiting my wife and my new new born baby girl. It was out of the world feeling.

while i was there i went to US embassy and got my daughters US birth record and her us passport, so she is all set to come here.

when i cam back i saw a letter from USCIS mailed to me on feb 25th , asking me to provide proofs of bonafide marriage AND asking me to submit I864 for financial support.

now the thing is for bona fide marriage they ask for bank statements with both names and blah blah... BUt the thing is she lives in pakistan and i live in US , we dont have any accounts together.all I have is pictures for wedding and pics after wedding. and for communication i use telephone cards and she calls me from magic jack, we never used land line , so have no record of that. I dont know what to send them because i dont have much to prove its bonafide. and it was arranged marriage.all i have is photos and marriage cert. which i did send in with package. i dont know what to do//

and about I864... why USCIS is asking for it??? i thaught NVC suppose to ask for it.???

after waiting for so long i get this stupid RFE. i am afraid they will deny my petition because i dont have much proof to send in for bona fide marriage.

what you guys suggest??? and what did you guys send in with I130 package to get it approved without RFE???

    Thanx friends.

    WAITER....

First of all congrats on the baby girl...

  4. Ok one for each of us.... and 1 i-864 and a photocopy of the original for my sons case. or do i need to file out two i-864's

I am filling out 2 I-864ez's for my cases. I read on the NVC site about the dual case status. Check the bolded statments below. from:

    http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864ez.pdf

Part 1. Qualifying to Use Form I-864EZ.

You may use Form I-864EZ if the statements in 1(a), 1(b) and 1© are all true. If you cannot check "Yes" to all three boxes,

you do NOT qualify to use Form I-864 EZ and therefore must use Form I-864. Submission of the incorrect form will delay

    processing.

    a. Check "Yes" if you are the petitioner who is filing or who has already filed Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative;

Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiance(e); Form I-600, Petition to Classify Orphan as an Immediate Relative; or

Form I-600A, Application for Advance Processing of Orphan Petition.

    b. Check "Yes" if you are using only your own earned or retirement income that can be documented with an IRS

Form W-2. If you are self-employed, you must check "No" to the question and you cannot use Form I-864EZ.

    c. The term "immigrating with" in this statement means "on the same visa petition". Thus, if the person you are

sponsoring is an immediate relative (spouse, child, or certain parents of U.S. citizens), you can automatically

check "Yes" for this box because every immediate relative has his or her own visa petition. If the person you are

sponsoring is a family-based preference immigrant, and the family members listed on the same visa petition are

immigrating with or within 6 months of the sponsored immigrant, you must check "No" for this box and you

    cannot use Form I-864EZ.

  5. No he is not the us citizens child by birth. We filed two i-130's and yes we have two seperate cases. I did call and give an email for my case and called back and found out that they used my husbands email for my sons case email. I am guessing that means that they joined them?

This is complicated for me, So do i treat this as two seperate cases and follow the directions as if i was doing two cases or do i treat this as one case?

It's 2 seperate cases... But, they need to be connected at NVC. its easy to do, just a phone call. The only time that they are concedered 1 case is when paying the AOS fee. it's only required to be paid 1 $70.00 fee. when you log in it will show related case. I have the same issue. I have a 11yo step-daughter. We also have 2 babies together 1 has already completed CRBA and the baby girl is waiting for her birth cert.

    Goodluck

  6. Ok was going through the Lingche shortcut and happened to click on the ds320 and saw "complete one copy of this form for yourself and each member of your family, regardless of age, who will be immigrate with you. Ok so I get that part but then I start to get confused when i think about it.

I am the ben, I have a three year old son.

    1) I have to fill out two of these forms one for me and one for him as he is to immigrate with me.... ok but that is for MY case file.

Do I have to file out a ds320 for his case and then file out one again for me as we are immigrating together.

So I get confused when I think about these things as I dont see a guide as to what happens with a child case.

all together that would be 4 forms?

Did you file a CR2 for your son? You should have 2 seperate case numbers.... the only thing that is combined is the AOS fee. Only 1 needed for both. But you should have filed his own I-130 and when it got to NVC you should have called to have the 2 cases joined.

  7. Well I called again this evening regarding the ds-3032 email for my step-daughters case and they said it will be there soon...

So I started to compose the 3032 emails to be sent from my wifes account for her and her daughters choice of agent and the email from NVC shows up...

So we sent the ds-3032 and also paid the AOS fee.

I feel so far behind, but its ok, we are still waiting for their passports.

Please feel free to add me on facebook. schneikeys2@hotmail.com but please send message with it about visajourney (I Get alot of friend requests due to FB Gaming "mafia wars" lol).:thumbs::thumbs:

  8. I wanna cry coz seems like im the only september filler left who hasnt had approval. Begining to think our file has been lost in some blackhole and knowing my luck thats probably whats happened LOL we had one touch back on 2nd of october and nothing since, getting so desperate i'd be happy with a RFE just so i know they havent lost our file

Carly, Dont cry... Im stuck in a blackhole in NVC as well. Join us in the March NVC Thread.... You are welcome there. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...243392&st=0

  9. I was able to get through, but I think it was at 10am this morning :P so I should wait till after 3pm to call back

awesome I didnt know this, do you know what time zone they are on?

also, I wonder if anyone has an average of how many days after NOA2 that they were able to get the NVC case number? I recieved my NOA2 on 2/09 is it unreasonable to think that one day this week I should be able to get my case # from NVC? The operator tells me 2-4 weeks but could take up to 90 days, has anyone here had to wait 90 days for the case #?

Not 90 yet, but I think I've been waiting the longest for my DS-3032 email... :crying::crying:
