I am so friggin happy I am jumping up and down right now!!! Whooo-hoo! Inna won't believe it!!

    YAY!!!

  2. When did he send his petition?

The March 15 date on the USCIS Processing Date Report means that as of September 15th, the oldest I-129F petition that CSC was woking on had a receipt date of March 15. Since on that day a March 15 petition was slightly older than 6 months, CSC has to enter the actual date of the oldest petition instead of just entering 6 months.

However, CSC is currently processing May petitions and there are probably only a few left from March and April. Follow the link in my signature to see recent CSC approvals.

Well, he sent his petition about 2 weeks before mine, so mid-July.

I tried to look at that link you provided, holy cow man, that is one confusing thing. - I couldn't figure it out, lol!

  3. Hey all,

I have always tried to maintain a level of patience and I have accepted that this process will take 6 months for me (another CSC consolidation victim here) I know a guy who also sent for his K-1, same as I did; Russian Girl, etc. His as already been full on approved, I mean he has received his NOA2. This really ticked me off, big time. I go to that friggin USCIS website where they now show, under PROCESSING TIMES for k-1 fiancee visa simply "March 15, 2007" someone please tell me ####### that means?

You know, I love my country but our Government processes blow goats.

That is all, thank you and I continue to think positively for all of you, and myself as well. I really like my friend who has been blessed with his K-1 but dude, I am very frustrated as well. :crying:

  4. If there is so much disagreement between us over the definition of the wording it is no wonder that USCIS staff are dealing with applications differently. Those who are getting petitions returned need clarification on this, nonetheless, so thanks to those of you who are providing advice on how to interpret this.

I personally don't see the ambiguity in the wording at all although 'otherwise' should perhaps have been made more transparent. It has to be postmarked by US Mail or proof provided of an alternative delivery method before the 30th July. Delivery on the 30th July or later should not discount an application from the old fee schedule provided there is proof that the petition was submitted to an official intermediate body before that date.

It would be useful to hear firsthand from anyone submitting under the old fee schedule who has experience of this, i.e. had an application returned or received NOA1 or had their check cashed with a delivery date on or after the 30th July.

Just making my weekly view of the thread, so much going on but here - I got my NOA in my signature - it's dated July 30, receipt was July 23rd.

I should still be on the spreadsheet as a July filer, I paid the previous fees.

  5. Hey man - I don't know about a lot of what you are asking, other than to say that getting married there isn't hard to do. I thnk you need to be there a few weeks beween getting the license and then actually having the ceremony.

I would like to say though, best of luck to you - I too have fallen for a lovely Russian lady, my heart beats fast just thinking about it.

    Seriously - best wishes :)

  6. We started with October 9th....now November 13. But it has been as late as November 16th before.

Hey all - I am sorry if this is a "repost" but I just checked my case online at USCIS and the CSC has changed it's processing times now. They are no longer processing "files with a receipt date of February 13th"

now the processing times are listed as "6 months"

Now, again this is CSC, not VSC or whatever the others are - it would be useful info for anyone who filed in July and also is filing for a spouse in a country known for long processing times - apparently Russia is lately, grrr! (I have read here that places like Cuba take alot less time).

    Anyway, carry on folks

    Best wishes to all :)

  7. As helpful as this site is, I think it can also be what causes so many people to be so depressed. Some of these threads are almost suicidal!

Word - I probably won't be here as long as it would take to make lasting friendships (I do not mean that sarcastically, or offensively) because I too, would get caught up in my own impatience and worry. I just figure Inna won't be here until February, but she's going to LOVE Florida's February, coming from Moscow's February :D

Then again, I am going to visit her October 15th, yahoo!

Everybody, be cool - a year from now we all will probably be happy, chillin' out with our spouses, ahh yes...

  8. i seem to recall it either from a post here or from a post on asawa.org along time back. ive been lurking on these boards for 3 years. Someone had posted that the date was the oldest one currently being worked on, not the latest. right now that are approving petitions from feb, march and april daily so Jan 13th cant be the latest date. and it seems static, so i feel confident the original poster was correct.

    Chris

Thanks, I went back and looked again, the procesing times column states "Now Processing Cases with Receipt Notice Date of"

    January 13th - for the I-129F

Eh, nothing I can do and I don't want to obsess.

  9. my understanding is the january 13th date just means that's the oldest NOA2 they are working on.probably someone with a RFE that is still being processed. they are also working on others with newer dates.

    Chris

Thanks Chris - If I may ask, how did you get to figure that out, about that date being the oldest? Oh, and I have been meaning to ask this, what's a RFE?

  10. firstly, I REALLY wouldn't pay too much attention to the official stats; they may say they're working on January, but we KNOW they're looking at later petitions than that, because people who filed later have been approved, and come in here and told us! I think those stats are to cover their butts a bit, and give themselves longer than even THEY think they need, to come in 'under time'

secondly, remember that if even these delays, which have been a couple of weeks at most, are affecting our timelines, then a change in the other direction will as well... by which I mean: the estimated adjudication dates reflect CURRENT movements, but a couple of good weeks (or, heaven forfend, a few more bad ones) could change those estimates considerably... I'm not saying they're not useful; they are; incredibly... I just mean they're reasonably sensitive, and could change quite radically before the end of the process

thirdly, I think it's too difficult to predict when the non-USC will be arriving, simply because even though people who filed at similar times are likely to have similar NOA1 - NOA2 timeframes, so much will then depend on the consulate we're all going through... for example, I've heard Montreal is one of the worst right now, something like a six month wait, I think? but I'm going through London, which looks to be around three months... so even if we all got NOA2 within the same week, our interviews could be scheduled months apart...

all the above is just my opinion, of course, but I HAVE tried to base it on something :);)

What you write makes good sense, it's basically a "whack-a-mole" nobody knows for sure, that's okay - I am betting on February, and that's okay, gives me a little more time to prepare.

  11. So I am curious, what is the general consensus on if the noa1-noa2 time lines; I notice that mine went up one day; it's only 1 day but still, I guess I am worried about the consolidation. When I put everything I have read here together, I think it's going to be February before my Inna is here in Florida with me (wow, just saying that makes me smile, I am so anxious). That's not the end of the world and I am okay with that, but still, I am concerned.

I thought I read somewhere on here, someone said realistically there should be no delays because of the consolidation, yet when I go to the USCIS site, the CSC is currently working on JANUARY 13th noa2's, that a long way from July 30th, you know?

    what do you think?

  12. Hey - can someone tell me why under "My Timeline" it lists "Armenia as my consulate? Did I do that somehow when editing my profile? If so, how do I change that?

I think that's the default, if you don't fill anything in... go to the Immigration Timelines section (link on the blue bar at the top of the page), and then click on 'Edit/Add my entry' (first choice under 'Timeline Functions', on the far left), and change it :)

Okay, one more dumb question - Am I supposed to select United States? Or is it Russia?

    * * Received date should be the date the application arrived at the service center where it will be adjudicated.

    * * * NOA1 & NOA2 dates should be the dates when they were issued, not the date that you received a hard copy.

To add or update your data, simply reply to the latest post that contains the timelines and then edit the quote.

Data should be sorted by service center, then by date received.

Recieved NOA1 feels kinda nice to hold it in my hands ^_^

Didn't know if I did that already
