I'm back after so long.  Thanks man.  How did your application go?  Okay, so we got our waiver approval last quarter of 2018, but my attorney did not submit application to NVC until Jan of 2019 and we got NOR from NVS 2/26/19 that application is received and complete and that we were to wait for the interview date which took forever and until just yesterday 1/3/20, for again 11 months lol, we finally got NOTICE FOR INTERVIEW which is set on 2/12/20 at CIUDAD JUAREZ.  Now our question is everybody is saying that he needs to get biometrics 1st at least 1 day before the said interview, so we don't know how to schedule for it.  Do you know how to do it?  It did not say in the notice letter that we needed to do Biometrics prior to the said interview.  We were told that the consul won't interview us without that biometrics first.  Any info on this one will be highly appreciated guys.  Thanksss...  Patience is indeed a key.  We feel like we're nearing there to the end of the road!!!

So my husband went thru this process last January. And we were told that medical and biometrics had to be done at least 2 days prior. And your lawyer should schedule your biometrics, and you should make an appointment for the medical. They have a few different facilities to choose from. And there will be a wait. And have some form of payment to cover your medical and vaccinations. And always have your passport with you too.  It's better to do the interview in English, I have heard they like that. And be honest because they have everything right in front of them that you submitted for your case. Good luck.

I need help please 🙏🏼 for those of you that have followed my story , will know that my husband and I went to his interview on August 26th 2019 . He got approved , green paper in hand .. days later we received an email stating that his case was put on administrative processing. DHL delivered his passport back with a blue paper stating an additional appointment was required.... we’ve called begged and pleaded for answers but we have not received any answers.
Our lawyers have been unhelpful and have seemed to disappear.  It’s been three weeks since his interview and my husband is still in mexico
Please anyone give us hope... a number to call ...... I’m so desperate to get him home .... I’ve gone into a horrible depression with this situation

I hope this website will help you with your situation. http://hirschlaw1.com/information-on-administrative-processing/ Prayers that your husband will get home quickly.

Has anyone experienced OR heard of anyone having issues at the interview stage or getting Their visa denied after the approval of I 601A Waiver of Unlawful presence??? I know waiver doesn’t guarantee that your visa will be granted but... would be nice to know people were actually able to come back to the US after the interview...

My husband had his interview in January, and was approved. You just have to remember a few things, try not to be nervous, dress like you are going to a job interview, not a wedding. Be yourself. And like our lawyer said tell the truth, because they have everything you already submitted right in front of them. Make sure too that you have every document with you just In case they ask for anything. And leave your cellphone wherever it is that you are staying, because they will not let you in, and they will tell you to take it back. I hope this helps, good luck.

    My days are similar

my received date is October 15,2018 and I didn’t have a biometrics appointment since I’m under daca and immigration has had my biometrics. When I log in on USCIS.com  it says my cases update 2/11/2019 but nothing else shows but that they received my biometrics in October☹️

Yes your lawyer is right, It took about 7 months for my husband to get his appointment in Juarez.

Hi Hsantos, thanks for your response! I have two questions,

    1. How long did he have to go to Juarez for? i plan to go with my wife but need to know how much i will need to take off from work.

    2. what questions did they ask him? i have heard of people getting denied for other things.

    Thanks again!

My husband was there about 2 weeks. First you do your medical appointment there about 2 days prior to your appointment, and then you do your biometrics 1 day before your appointment, and then after your approval you wait for them to send back your passport with your visa to a DHL office of your choice. And they asked my husband questions about when he entered, and where, a few questions about me and our kids, and when we got married. Whatever answers you gave on your application has to match what they have. If not they can deny you. And try to look nice, and don't take anything with you, except for any documents you might need. No cellphone. And your wife can't go either.

Thank you Hsantos, when i type in the number it says:  Action required: Complete Form DS-260

But the lawyer said he would do it and said we had to wait for a letter from the NVC before we could do anything... So should i just wait for them to do it? or should i bug the attorney about it?

I would bug your lawyer, that's what you pay them for. Also the website can take a little time to update, you could always call the toll free number, but be prepared for a long wait and some rudeness. If you have any other questions feel free to ask, my husband just went threw this, his interview was in January at cuidad Juárez.

    Hello,

Our application was received on the 1st and submitted on the 15th

Biometrics was July 16th and our 601a waiver was just approved  February 18th. The website said it would take 8.5 months so i guess it was accurate in Nebraska.

I had a couple of questions for some that have completed the process.  How do i find the NVC status? they ask for a number but dont have it. Also how far in advance do you have to buy plane tickets? and what kind of questions they ask in the interview?

    This threat has been helpful!

    Thanks.

You can go to this website to check your case status https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==  you should wait until you get an interview date before purchasing a plane ticket.

Hey guys. New here and wanted to see if someone could help me out.

Sent I601a waiver request November 1, 2018 and biometrics appt December 4, 2018. Nebraska Location.

While I wait my lawyer said I could do my medical appointment in the US and also get my carta de no antecedentes penales here as well. Everyone I ask say the do all that in Mexico when going to the interview so I’m confused. Anybody have experience with that????

You cannot do your medical appointment here, my husband just went through this, it has to be done abroad by an approved medical facility. Sorry that your lawyer misinformed you. This website has some very useful information, good luck. Also your medical appointment is done at least 2 days before your interview at the consulate. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/after-petition-approved/begin-nat-visa-center.html
