  2. Anyone heard from Khushi? How was his or her interview experience? Please update us

    Hello everyone:

I am from Atlanta. I applied for AOS on the basis of USC in June 2nd week. I had my interview on 27th Aug, 07 at Atlanta office.

    experience

I had my interview at 10:00 a.m. I and my husband reached there at 9:35. We went in the office at and waited for our turn. One of the Lady Officers called our name and after we went in the office, she made us swear of telling the truth.

She started with me by asking the general information like my name and change in the last name, address, current status, and so on. At the same time she was going through the my papers. Then she asked me some questions related to our marriage such as when did we first meet, who introduced our families, whose family approached whose family first and so on. Ours is an arrange marriage, so she confirmed with me that it happened at my will. Also, how long were we engaged and when did we decide to get married.

In the meantime, I visited India for my brother’s wedding; she asked me the purpose of my visit. After that she started going over my forms with and confirmed the information by asking the same questions on the form to me.

Then was the turn of my husband, she asked him some questions about his job, status, and other general information. In between she kept on mentioning that she is not really happy about her job, but she likes it here in Atlanta. She asked my husband if he can find her a job at his company.

It was intense process the way she kept on asking us the questions. now, was the time of documents proof. She asked me to show a lot of documents starting with birth and marriage certificates. Later on when I gave her all financial documents she mentioned whether that was all we had and that made me really nervous. But I still kept on giving her all the documents that we had with us.

She made a copy of couple of documents like our health insurance cards and then finally mentioned that we have been approved in the interview.

I hope that the pleasant experience that we had we USCIS happens to everyone going through the process.

I just received my card in mail in the last weekend too.

I did reply last week about my interview experience. I donno what happened. But here I posted my experience again. THanks for caring and wondering about my experience.
