I contacted the congressman and enlisted a pretty good lawyer who is thinking about doing a writ of mandamus against the embassy/consulate. It still says expiring soon on the status. We’ll see what happens... 

Any have any ideas? 

I (US citizen female) sponsored my husband from Pakistan. Everything went smoothly and he has his interview in sept 2018 in Islamabad. They asked him for a copy of the marriage certificate and translation (even tho we already had it there..). They wrote on the paper to upload it so we did that. We uploaded it to the ceac site. After that he got a questionnaire in the email asking for social media account, emails and phone numbers and stuff. We filled that out as well. He was then put into administrative processing and he has been there for over a year now. It’s really a straight forward case, no complications. 
We’ll log on and see occasional status updates on the date periodically on the ceac visa status checker. 
But on 10/25/19 the status changed from AP to “expiring soon” (see photo attached). We’re really freaking out now. I don’t want the visa to be cancelled and us having to do it all over again. Any suggestions on what we could do next? Please help!

He is a student and just finished his civil engineer diploma. Hes not working right now as he was waiting to come here. Any help is very much appreciated

I have been following this thread for a while now. Can someone help me figure my case out? 

Simple case from my point of view, my husband is Pakistani, we got married and applied for his visa. He’s never traveled before. His name is Hussain so idk if that might be an issue.

Interview was in sept 2018. Everything went smoothly st the interview, the CO told him to upload his nikah namma in Urdu with translation to the CEAC site. He got the 221g doc also. We uploaded the nikah namma the next day. Then he got the questionnaire in October 2018 which we also sent the next day. And then his case went to AP on the visa check site. It was last updated on Jan 25,26,30.

applying for the CR-1 spouse visa. Straight forward case with no complications. i had my interview on sept 9 in ISL, and was given the 221-g white slip saying i needed to submit a translation of my nikah namma. I was told to "upload it." i uploaded it to the NVC website where i have been uploading all of the other documents. They have been updating the case but no luck yet. They sent me an email asking me for details like my name, social media, family details and etc.

I see on the islamabad embassy website that they have a courier service? how have you guys been sending the embassy the requested documents? 

Anyone have any ideas? thank you so much in advance
