how do you know? I never mentioned what my number was??

I actually was bored and went looking for all MSC# that has receipt date of Feb 13th because I wanted to to get a sense of how many applications they receive per day. It seems alot lot lot that I ended up stop searching. You mentioned "ends up with 3". I only see a few MSC received Feb13th ends up with 3. I guess that's yours.

  2. like tiberonsuave said..............and when you check online, try add to that # by 1-8. Example: as on the check you found MSCxxxxxxxx30, you enter online uscis.gov won't find it, then try MSCxxxxxxxx31 or 32 or so on. Until you find a valid status of the form, if you submitted I130,I485,I131 make sure you find that pattern with MSC# are closed to each others. Good lucks.

Loolk at the back of your check. Sometimes they stamp your reciept number on the back. If so you can enter online for updates from the USCIS website.

I am in the same time frame as well. The AOS package was delivered on 2-9-07, and checks were cashed on 2-16-07. Still have not received the NOA. I guess I can't check the status until I receive that.

  3. We applied a couple of days before you and we still haven't received the NOA1. You're reaaaaaaaally have to be patient if you want to survive this process.

We're on the same boat. MSCxxxxxxxxxx stamped on the back of our checks are dated 02/13/07. By guessing, usually adding 1-10, I found tons of applications touched and not sure which of those are belong to us.

Will wait for the mail then.

    Good lucks & best sinceres,

  4. My question for Vietnamese natives is does the government issue marriage licenses? I noticed that all the posts I've seen in regards to petitions for US immigrant visa are all for K-1 by the petition for Vietnamese fiance. I know that Cambodia offers one since I married there, and it's valid in the US after it's translated at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I just wanted to know  .

I am following through with the K-3 application process, not K-1. I understand Vietnam is part of the ASEAN community. Most countries in that community generally follows the same procedure.

    Greetings consolemaster,

At first, happy new year (vietnam's). You're totally correct, Vietnamese government does issue marriage license. My friend in Seattle, WA is planning to travel back to country side of Vietnam and will marry a girl he engaged last year. He's so exciting but complications often occurs in Vietnam, K-1 is usually faster than K-3 but riskier of delay and denied by Vietnamese's government. If you hadn't married in Vietnam and planned to marry your girl there, you can done all pre-paperworks and send the whole package to your future-wife that you issue her the rights to file the paperworks on your behalf to HCMC Consulate herself and that would reduce less complications with local government of hers. You must send all these paperworks at least 60 days before the date you fly there however. I'm helping my friend self-filing the paperworks, almost cost nothing except fees & fedex.

Good lucks to you and thank you so much,
