  1. Hi,

I had my n-400 interview this week, because my i-751 was still pending, it was a combo interview. The IO advised me that both applications were approved.

    my n-400 status changed to:

    1) n-400 has  been recommended for approved pending quality review etc. then too:

    2) oath ceremony will be scheduled

for my i751, i noticed it went from:

    1) new card being issued

    2) case approved

    3) card was mailed to me

if both applications were approved is it normal for USCIS to still mail out a new green card?

    1) My oath hasn’t been scheduled yet and is still in ‘oath ceremony will be scheduled’ (it’s only been 3 days since approval)

    2) my green card is a conditional one which expired in july 2021 (have been using extension letters+expired green card when travelling.)

    Thanks

  2. I have my Naturalization interview in a few weeks. I noticed the interview letter specified to bring:

'Your passport and/or any other documents you used in connection with any entries into the United States.'

I am applying under the 3 year rule and my current passport was issued in 2018 (which I received my visa in). This passport covers the entire time that I've been a greencard holder.

Is it essential that I bring the expired passport? (to show 5 years worth of history if I am applying under the 3 year rule) It is back in my home country so would need to retrieve it.

    Thanks

  3. Thank you everyone for the feedback! They were not bulky albums, two 4x6 albums. We have more stronger evidence, house ownerships documents, joint bank accounts (checking/savings) with a long transaction history dating back over 2 years, insurance documents showing the spouse as the beneficiary, utility bills, itinerary's including all flights, hotels and vacations we’ve been on together and tax returns filing jointly.
