Good afternoon everybody, does anybody know how long it takes to get the website to update with the oath ceremony after the interview our interview was March 7th. Thank you
I would say, be patient. it takes time usually, rarely that it goes quickly but give it a month or so. My interview was on Feb 25th and till now I didn't hear anything about my oath ceremony even though i was approved on the spot. I called USCIS And they told me that they update their website after 15th of each month.

Does anyone know if the oath ceremony happens on the same day of the interview at Newark, NJ office? My interview is in three weeks.
Also, what is the process of getting a US passport? Will they give it to us on the day of the oath ceremony or do we have to file for it after we get the certificate of naturalization?
Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't, no way to know really, not according to my knowledge but mainly go prepared, if they will have your oath ceremony on the same day they will let you leave and come back later that day so don't worry much about it. Normally it can go from 1-3 months to schedule the oath ceremony.

Anyone have any idea how long would scheduling the oath Ceremony take? I’m in Fairfax VA area and I already called to ask USCIS and they told me that they update the case every 15th of every month ..

This issue seems to be resolved now. I can see my expected wait time restored.
I can see the expected time now, is it accurate though?

Hello, can you tell a little bit more about "questions for eligibility"
Thank you.
The questions were mainly asking if you've ever been part of any communist group or militant group, if you have any criminal record or speeding tickets or you've ever been accused by anything and appeared at court. so mainly checking your record and that your past.
They tell you that the questions will sound a bit strange but they have to ask it anyway. I think the most important thing is that if you've ever had speeding tickets is to bring proof that u paid those tickets or appeared in court, its VERY important to be honest and tell the truth. Also they ask if you've ever been admitted to a psychatric facility. They are all a yes or no questions.
of course if you're applying for citizenship through marriage, they will ask more about that. They asked me about it regardless even though I'm not applying for it through marriage.
Hope this helps, If you have any other questions, I'm happy to answer them.

I had my interview today, was very easy, simply review the tests online on the USCIS website and you should be fine. They did ask a lot of questions for eligibility etc and then it was done. I passed and was recommended for approval on the spot, BUT then when I went online my status changed to "we placed you in line for your oath" which is GREAT , but then it changed again to "Case Was Submitted For Quality Review Based On An Approval Recommendation"
anyone knows if this is the normal process of status changes online?

I had the interview last Friday, 11th and had the 'Scheduled interview' notice on Saturday but had to wait until Monday to know the exact date and time. Received the letter on the email on Thursday. You can check at the USCIS account the document once it has been posted.
Thats amazingly quick, I'm in DC so fingers crossed it would be as fast! Thank you for responding

My husband has his interview schedule for Dec 6. We were trying to plan a flight to his home country in December or January but didn't want to miss or reschedule the oath ceremony.
I got crafty and looked up the oath ceremony schedule posted online for our office...and it gave exact dates for the upcoming year! Now I have a better guesstimate of when he might be scheduled.
Anyone trying to guess this info might check out the oath ceremony schedule for their location!
when did he apply?

Its for the whole thing and it is not accurate.
The best thing you can do is find other applicants from your field office on this forum and compare their timelines. This should give a rough idea of when to expect an interview.
Thanks! thats a relief

Hey Everyone!
I filled my citizenship on August 11th and got my fingerprints taken on September 11th, is it normal that I've not heard back about the interview just yet?

you're not the only one, I put the paper in late April and my case is still "Recived" no updates yet, keep in mind they only update their system every 15th of each month, so keep your eyes open around February 15th for an update.
