  1. Now that the full damage of George Bush's foriegn policy's has come full circle.

Did I mention, helping out his oil buddies as well ?

    Results...

Round trip flight to the Philippines $ 1200.00 , fuel surcharge $ 10,000.00 :angr

Options, take up swimming classes, learn how to row or rob a bank. :star:

Thats very smart, alot of the people who come to this forum are going to take this post seriously and panic and worry, maybe next time post in the general discussion with disclaimers about it being your opinion. You do realize that the US government foreign policy has a minimal effect on the price of oil. Oil is priced and traded in dollars. Due to the damage from the mortgage crisis and lowered interest rates the dollar has weakened substantially against foreign currencies. Just look at the peso to dollar rate and what it used to be. With a weak dollar in the international money market Oil prices will rise. Also increased demand from China (putting 1000 new cars on the roads everyday) and India has helped increase the price. Add to that the people (not just americans but anyone with lots of money) who speculate in the futures market to make even more money. I would agree that the Bush family made their money on Oil. Its a lucrative business. Lots of wealthy americans have investments in oil and other wealth increasing commodities. Just ask the Middle Eastern OPEC members who reap billions in profits as they just pump it out of the ground. Some suggested reading and note this was written in 2005 and its quite predictive of our current problems in the oil markets. http://www.icfi.com/Markets/Energy/Marketi...ry-capacity.pdf BTW Im not a Bush fan but I know enough about the economy to see that its much more complicated then blaming the Executive Branch.

Your right, Bush and his friends are not the only problem. I am sure there are many issues involved.

Have you ever seen a president sit around and smile while fuel prices continue to rise at a record speeds/levels and our service men are killed ? He just seems happy to be a "war time president".

The huge increases in fuel costs are not our only problem, honest leaders have been trying to tell us for over ten years. As a nation we voted for a politician not a leader.

If I could say only one thing to the America public, it would be "vote your conscious next time".

Many people don't get it, don't let the media and their polls tell you who to vote for.

    Are we sheep ?

If anyone is interested in our possible future's see U tube, type in Ron Paul.

I wish EVERYONE knew of Ron Paul and gave him a chance. He is by far the best choice for our country

  2. I just read in the guides that you should send another with a date closer to the interview. If you don't think they will mind I will probably just fax it then. Is there somewhere in the Philippines I can fax to where my Fiancée can pick it up?

for our interview they didnt accept it from us and said its not needed since theres one with the I-129f, so I would not worry so much

  3. We had our interview March 3rd. I was allowed to be in the interview with her as long as we didn't answer for eachother. We planned to pay the DS-157 on the friday before, and were unable to. it was so scary, we had to go to Manila and pray that we could pay our application fee the day of our interview. We were scheduled for 6:30, and we got there around 4:30 AM and spoke to a guard. He said to go to the bank at 9:00 and just come back after we get it paid. We got back to the embassy around 9:20 and were able to get in for ur interview. We had a male CO in room #27. He was very nice and asked us maybe 2 questions each.. we loaded the pre-screener with evidence. she seemed to want all we could give. letters, emails, call logs, and anything else we told her we had. We got out of there around 12:00. It was so amazing. we were scared they would re-schedule us since we had to pay the visa application fee the same day as interview. We asked if we could get visa pickup and he said it was up to us, and that the computer system in washington dc is acting up a whole lot, and he said it would most likely be friday or later with no guarantees. We decided to just pay delbros and have it delivered because we didnt feel like staying in manila. I'm gonna be in RP for 2 more weeks anyways so we just hope it gets delivered soon.

    oh yeah..

    :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

    YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. I went on line and saw that we have a medical exam the end of Feb. and the K-3 interveiw on March 3 (in Manila). We still have not received anything in writing regarding this. The medical exam is about two weeks away. Is this normal?

    If not...what should I do?

    Thanks in advance

Call and request a packet IV (4) pickup at SLEC. Just print a copy of your online injterview date and present the printout along with ID to the gaurd. All you really need from the packet is the appointment letter. You can download the forms and instructions from the USEM website. The DS-156 needs to be filled out online to obtain the barcode and it will be submitted electrnically also.

  5. we never got our packet 4 at all and we have march 3rd interview too. My fiancee called DHL and found out that they couldn't locate her address when they tried to deliver. She was able to get it just in time for her early medical which we planned for Feb 11th. I suggest trying that as well. It worked for us and they rushed it out to her the next day. (She told them it was very urgent)

  6. we did screenshots showing ALL the dates of our chats, plus one full chat printed out from each month since we met (probably should have just done since 'sent' date because its like 2.5 inches tall lol)

    Hi there,

Did you present all the printed out docs (the 2.5 inches) during the interview? :D

    Interview is March 3rd :P

  7. We are on the same sked too..

I hope to see you on the interview day...

BTW, i got my packet 4 last jan 24...

    God bless us all!!! :innocent:

T_and_A if you are on March 3 maybe you can join our celebration night time of march 3?:dance::dance: We will stay at Bayview hotel and planning to have parade dawn of March 3 going to US Embassy.:lol::lol: So far Che and Neren agreed to this silly plan.:lol: Seriously, you can join us on Bayview and can go to embassy together. If we all got approve, we will have small party at night..Celebrate!

My fiancee and I will be there too :D

  8. same thing happened to us. (4 cards!) I sent her the money through xoom.com and she went to purchase it for me :)

how much did the tickets cost from cebu to manila ? and I assume its round trip ?

Actually I got the 2nd leg of my flight from the states with cebupacific. Hongkong to Cebu round trip. However we also got round trip tickets from cebu to Manila already from PAL, and it costs 6,836 PHP for both of us, for the early fare (5 AM much cheaper though)
