You called them and it went faster?

I don't know exactly if this is helped or it attracted their attention to the problem, or it was a temporary glitch, but when I tried in a couple of days, I managed to go through.

Though they kept sending messages, that they are working on the problem, then that problem had been resolved etc.

I am not sure again, cause my last name was spelled incorrectly by the guy who created the ticket, so I am not sure, how they resolved this, but I guess they have their own ways:-)

Also, it looks like it's not an isolated case; if two of you are having issues, you can pretty much be sure that plenty of others are having the same problem with the website.

My suggestion, keep trying to log on every day until the 500 error goes away. If the 500 error still occurs, call Customer Service. Chances are, someone else has already reported this problem and they are aware of it, and they will probably work on it at some point. Keep in mind that this is the DHS we're talking about, don't put too much stock in them doing things in a timely manner.

Thank you, I think you are right, we should keep trying and keep calling them. The more calls, the more chances they start doing something

As I have previously stated, the error is on THEIR side, not yours. There is no way for us as end-users to clear up an error 500, likewise no way for us to locate a page when it's an error 404. It is an error on the host server end.

Your only option is to be patient, and wait for the website to come back up.

But the problem is that they are denying it, and denying in a very harsh way. "WE DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS. IT IS YOUR COMPUTER"

Which means nobody is going to fix anything.

The 500 Internal Server Error is a very general HTTP status code that means something has gone wrong on the web site's server (but the server could not be more specific on what the exact problem is).

You can upload whatever you want in support of your case, as long as it's relevant. In fact, the N400 guide strongly suggests you submit past tax returns, especially if you're filing based on the 3 year marriage eligibility.

Thank you! So I should wait till it resolves?

No, I am filing on different eligibility. Should I scan only first page of the tax returns or everything? this will be huge files

  5. Hello!

I've been trying to submit the form, I log in, I can make changes etc. then I go to review before submitting, everything looks fine, but when I click on NEXT, it gives me ERROR 500. It's been for days. I tried to contact them, a very rude lady called and said that this is not their problem, it is my computer, she repeated it like tons of time and sounded very irritated. I tried all browsers possible, same story.

It worked several days ago, I even managed to print it out. May be after that the document disappears there somehow? Any ideas?

Also, I read a bit this forum: are you downloading the tax returns? But I thought you need to bring them to the interview, not download them while filing online. Do you think it is necessary?

    Thank you all
