My wife has been in the U.S. for nearly three decades, and twenty years before we met. She has all of of her stuff together and is a legal permanent resident. I really have nothing to do with her immigration status, as it has been the same for many years before I came into the picture.
She has recently begun the process of becoming a citizen.
Will I be subject to a background check? Is there anything I could have done that could disqualify her from gaining citizenship? Would the results of such a check on me be divulged to her?
