if they took 9 years to deny your case, there’s definitely something wrong, and you the only person who would know what’s wrong with your case. good luck.

hey, I read your other post, did USCIS conduct an investigation on your first marriage? did they reach out to your wife’s brother or did your wife’s brother volunteered information?

Sorry for your troubles.
Until there is a divorce filing, there is nothing for you to do. If you take oath before the divorce filing, there is no immigration / naturalization issue.
thank you for your reply. i had my combo interview over a month ago with no updates, should i be concerned?

@immigrant2046 sorry to hear you're having issues with your marriage. Before eyeing divorce, have you as a couple considered couples therapy? It may help resolving some issues. Maybe a compromise can be found, especially with kids in the picture.
thanks for your reply. we don’t currently have kids, and that’s where the argument started (i want kids but he doesn’t 😞). we haven’t considered couples therapy, but maybe that could help. in regards to my immigration, should I notify USCIS we’re currently having arguments and considering a divorce?

Hi All!
I had my i751/n400 combo interview about a month ago, didn’t hear anything since. My hubby was not allowed in the building so he was not interviewed with me.
Fast forward to today, we have been having a lot of arguments due to different things (kids/ desired location etc) and we are considering a divorce. I know the timing is weird because I’m still waiting to hear back from my interview with the pending applications, but also want to be absolutely honest with USCIS. How should I proceed? My lawyer said I can’t amend the i751 without the divorce decree and told me to just wait it out.. but I feel awful.
Please let me know what I should do or if you have had similar experience!!

Never done it, but if you are happy with a truncated name apply. If not, first execute a lawful change of name with your state and then apply.
my concern is that all my other documents (birth certificate, drivers license, etc.) are all in my correct name are you saying that i should change my name on my birth certificate and drivers license?

Hi all! Trying to apply for passport through naturalization of parent. I noticed that my name on the green card is truncated (probably due to long name?) so it’s missing one letter. Would that be a problem applying for a passport? Anyone has any experience with names truncated on green card?

I am f1 student and recently got married with my husband (USC) and I’m thinking about dropping a class but it’d make me a part time student. I filed AOS and I-765 a week ago, haven’t received the notice. My questions are:
1. Can I drop that class and become a part time student?
2. I have a job offer with a start date of June 2019. I have filed my I-765 last week (mid oct 2018), do you think I will get my EAD before June 2019? How long does it usually take to process the EAD?
Thanks!!
Divorce waiver - I-751 denied, will see lawyer in a week. (split)
