We have 3 stages for getting the No objection waiver as Indian nationals. Guidelines - http://indianconsulate.com/page/display/87/17. The part in India takes a long time.

Sidd47 any update about your J1 visa waiver ...I am might need it in future Please do keep us in the loop regarding the waiver. As I am a non-practicing physician like you and currently working as research.

Is any one fighting legally to get NOCs for medical graduates who are non practicing researchers with Indian medical degree??? We can all join and help anyone who is doing it.
