  1. I have my renewal visa approval here in the US and need visa stamp for the same visa class in India. I'm eligible for the Interview Waiver as I meet all the required checklist mentioned on US travel docs but the State Dept's system is processing my visa as normal visa application. My recently expired visa is in my old passport and I have a new passport. I read on US travels site that they encouraged all IW eligible candidates to use the dropbox which clearly I am. How do I go about using dropbox if the system is allowing only normal appointment time which is 3-4 months from now?

    Hi vee75

I was kept checking  my status almost everyday n finally I got my visa approved on 24th August 2017.i think they just check if they have any doubt in the information that they have already in their system n what u answered on your interview time..they just wanted to make sure all these things.dont worry hopefully they will send ur passport In mail wid visa printed on it for sure😊😊

Thank you for the encouraging words. It helps to know others are going through similar things.  I hope my case will end up well too.

  3. Can anyone shed light on what “Document Delivery Information” with a blank status means?  I had my interview 2 weeks ago at the New Delhi Embassy. Prior to this my status showed that my passport was still with the US embassy but it changed over the weekend. The officer didn’t’t give me any slip nor have I received any communication to submit more docs. Thanks for helping ease my anxiety.

I've been trying to track my passport and I'm getting these different replies from these different sources recently:

USTRAVELDOCS Profile: "Document Delivery Information" instead of "Your passport is still with consulate/embassy"

passportstatus email: "There's no status update available for the passport number submitted"

Is that a good sign? My CEAC visa status still says admin processing though.

    Thank you.

    Good Sunday to all.

My husband's interview was on October 11th.

Everything was in order according to the consular officer, except that you should have sent them the legal version of our marriage certificate, that is to say the one with the legal registration details. Our case was put in AP right after the interview on the CAEC.

We sent the document two days after the interview and our case was updated on October 16th but still in AP. And the site ustraveldoc says that our passport is still with the consulate / US embassy.

Yesterday I checked the status on the site ustraveldoc there is no information on the position of the passport because it says only: "Document dellivery Information: blank" and the CAEC is still on AP.

What does "document delivery information: blank" mean on the website tracking ustraveldoc?

Are there people here who have experienced a unique change in their case?  If so, what was the result?

    TIA for your in put.

Hi! I’m seeing the same status change I.e. “Document Delivery Information”. When I had my interview 2 weeks ago, the officer took my passport, gave me no slip and said my passport should be ready in 1-2 weeks. I researched online and couldn’t find satisfactory explanation. Kindly share if you have an update. Good luck to us!

  7. Hi!

I had my visa interview on Oct. 16 at the US embassy in New Delhi. After asking me several questions, the Consular Officer gave me the brochure that explains my rights as a worker in the US. He took my passport and said it should take 1-2 weeks or even less. It’s been over 10 days and there has been no update on my case. I wrote to us visa customer service asking the status and they wrote back saying the embassy is processing my visa and to kindly wait. I don’t know what to think as I haven’t been contacted for more information. Has anyone gone through a similar situation? Is my case considered administrative processing even if the officer didn’t use those words? Thank you!
