  1. Well my journey is over . Now I'm US citizen.

    I apply feb. 2018.

My interview was April 2019 and I get "decision can't be made ".

I was waiting patiently 4 months without any info passes or calls and after 4 months I received notifications that my application is approved.

2 days after scheduled for oath ceremony and 4 weeks after that I attended my ceremony and became citizens.

I wish goodluck to all of you.

My advice: be patient and you will get there.

    Thank you all for help.

    Goodluck

    Congrats EL79.

That's excellent news. I did not apply today, I got an appointment tomorrow at the Seattle passport agency. Will be applying with the expedited service, you'll need a hotel reservation or a travel itinerary within 2 weeks though.

Good luck and you're almost there.

But you can apply after oath ceremony there right?

After long, and agonizing 6 years... I can  officially say that my immigration journey is complete, and I am now a United States Citizen.

I am done, and it feels really good.

This thread helped me alot, and I hope I was able to help alot others. I'll keep checking it from time to time, if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

    @El79

good luck my friend and hope you get your oath soon.

Congratulation AHG, I'm glad for you.

I received notice for my oath.  In 25 days. 1:30 pm.

Did you apply for your passport right there after oath or?

    Just curious about payment  :)

    Excellent...Congratulations.

Don't worry, at this point it's just a matter of finding you a spot. My status changed to "You are in line for the oath" on the same day as the approval, and the "we scheduled you oath" 4 days later.

Congrats, you are 99% done :) few more days and hopefully you'll get the letter in the mail telling you about the date.

    One more question  :)

after you receive letter with date and time is it like for interview after 40-45 days or week or two for oath?

Yes, one status said "we approved your application " on other page status is "you are in line", so hopefully couple more days 👍

    @El79 Hey there,
I am almost there, but not yet.

They cancelled my ceremony twice and caused alot of confusion because they sent me 9 different notices. The latest was last week with an oath on Thursday, I am hoping that Thursday will be THE DAY.

I will let you know how that goes.

What about you? Did you hear back from them?

On Friday my status changed to "we approved your application ", I just checked again and its same.

How long after they changed yours to "we scheduled your oath ceremony "?

OK, so my system got updated with I am in line for the oath ceremony. Seems like I am back on track and things are getting to a great end.

Anyone here was able to apply for the passport on the same day after the oath? Do you mind providing more information on where to go and how does the process work? I read that the normal way to do it, is to go to one of USPS approved sites in person and apply, but that takes 4 weeks. I heard from some of friends, that you can apply in the passport agency in Seattle the same day and get the passport in few hours.

Any information on this would help.

    Thanks.

What's up with you, did you have your oath yet?

It looks like a glitch but if I were you I’ll schedule an infopass as soon as possible to go there in person and clear this up just to make sure there’s no misunderstanding. USCIS has been notorious for screwing people like this so don’t take any chances. Alternatively you can still schedule while waiting for your oath ceremony letter, and once you get it then you’re certified that this was all a fluke but still call to make sure by then.

Seattle office is not doing info passes any more 😕

I need an urgent feedback please.

So I just got an email from USCIS saying that my application was recommended for approval and I have been scheduled for an oath. Also it states that I need to log on to my profile for more information.

I logged on and there's nothing there, the status still shows that I have been scheduled for my interview which happened 3 months ago.

Any feedback is highly appreciated, because I am literally shaking

    You are lucky  :)

yesterday was 3 months since my interview and I'm still waiting.

I am glad you settled you have the balance dropped to zero, try to get an original certified statement from IRS that shows that everything is paid.

The document delays is very strange. You still haven't received your letter? I am sure that you checked the download tab in your online profile but double check again.

If you don't receive it by Friday, I recommend calling the office or scheduling a meeting with them. Delays won't be to your favor, I can't believe I am saying this, but it feels like the officers are working against the people here and trying to screw them Ughhhh I hate this feeling. Anyhow, let us know what happens.

    @El79 Hey there,
Are you getting the email updates that we are still reviewing your case as of the date of your interview?

    Yes

I received a request for evidence on May 9th and it only shows under documents tab but no where else. The Case status tab still shows "We scheduled your interview".

And when I try to click view my letter all I get is this:

Now I am waiting to get the letter in the mail to find out exactly what they want as evidence.

Does anybody know how long this would take after I submit the evidence? I passed the interview and everything.

When did you have your interview?

Did u received interview letter last February then?

I filed mine in May 2,2018 and it's been 1 year already without update. I heard before that citizenship only takes 6 months.. I was worried when I checked my case yesterday still no update..

O I'm sorry.  Didn't realize its may. You should receive letter in june by my math.

    Hey @El79

Did you hear back from anyone? or not yet? If not, does your online status still shows "We have scheduled your interview"?

I have not heard back anything yet, not even sure how long I would be waiting for. Is it a week, a month, a year I have no clue. Let me know please.

    Thanks.

Nothing.  My status is the same. they have 120 days to deliver decision. Be patient  :)

Then you have another person in that case. My status also says "interview scheduled" and it will normally stay like that until it's adjudicated. I guess yours wouldn't take that long since it's an entirely different scenario maybe a week or couple of weeks at most.

Usually status changes to "you attended your interview ". I really don't have any plans for traveling soon so it's ok. Being patient in cases like ours is the key  :)

If you don't mind me asking do you remember your officer's name? Was his name Michael Macindoe? The reason I'm asking is because if he's the one who interviewed you you'll be in the same predicament as I am. Apparently he's still in the process of re-gaining his security access through a re-verification process so he can start adjudicating petitions again. So essentially any person he interviews gets stuck in limbo with him till he re-gains his access which really sucks. My joint petitions have been stuck with this guy now for 2 months since February 27th when I last had my joint I-751/N-400 interview.

No, that is not my officer name. I dont think mine was junior officer or anything like that. He was professional and experienced.

Like I said he asked me lots of questions and on the end he give me paper and told me he need to wait clearance. So we waiting  :)

I just don't know whay my status still say "interview scheduled " :)

How did the interview go ? Share your experience ?

Well. I was waiting around hour for my interview.  Officer was very professional what I liked very much. I pass tests and we went thru all applications qestions. After everything he give me paper decision can't be made yet because he need to wait for some clearance.  So I guess I just need to wait  :) but all process was very nice. 👍

    Thanks EI79.

Interview went well and was "Recommended for Approval" after the interview. Also Oath Letter was also provided at the end of interview for May 06 2019.

My interview was at 12:45 pm, the IO called me in at 12:30 pm. IO was a very pleasant personality and made me feel very comfortable with the whole process.

We went to his office, he asked me for my ID, Green Card and Interview letter and to stand up and right hand in air to take the oath. Before i took the oath of truth, i brought to his attention of few corrections i had to do on my N400 form regarding my wife and traffic citations. He obliged and review the citations and their decisions from the court. after reviewing i took the oath for the truth.

Next he started reviewing the N400 application with me questions line-by-line.....once the N400 application was complete.

He started with the civics test :

    1. What month we vote for the president ?
    2. Why did the colonist come to America?
    3. Who is the president of America ?
    4. What is the party of the current president ?

    I don't remember the remaining 2 questions.

Next was the reading and writing - "The White house is in Washington D.C."

After the completion of the tests, he Congratulated me on passing the tests.

Then he asked me to review the corrections made to the N400 today on the IPad.

Next asked me to review the details for the Naturalization certificate .

Thats it. He handed me a printed doc saying was i was recommended for approval.

He escorted me out to the lobby and asked me to wait to collect my Oath letter.

After 15-20 mins, a lady popped out from a different door and called my name.

I went to her, she handed me the Oath letter and Congratulated me on my approval.

Can't wait for this journey to be over .................. 🙂

    I'm so glad you're almost done :)

    congratulations  👍
