Thanks a lot! Sorry for the opening the new topic.

Sorry, if this subject has been already discussed.
I am confused. Do I need as a K3 visa holder submit the complete medical report with the I-485? I had medical examination in March.
So far I was able to find only confrmation that the K-1 and K-2 viss holders don't need to submit the entire medical report if they had a medical examination within the past year as required fo rthe nonimmigrant fiancé(e) visa. But I could not find a word about the K3 holders. So I need to go through the medical examination again?

I have agonoised over this. I have our 6 year old and 2 year old in the states, and our youngest has severe asthma and as such, it is difficult for him to travel. I want so badly to be there with my husband for his interview, but the reality of it, is I have no one who is able to keep our children so that I could do this. I have spoken to a friend who worked for the London Embassy as a paper pusher, and he stated that due to so many "internet relationships" it has become quite commonplace for people to not have their spouses along for the interviews. He felt it didn't make a significant difference. But he was not an interviewer etc, only a paper pusher. It made me feel a little better to hear that, but I wish more than anything I could be there for him.
Don't agonise. He will do just fine. It maybe be essential for Columbia to attend the spouse's interview, but in most countries it's not needed, and in some countries it's even not possible.
My husban did not attend my interview, and it did not cause any problems, nobody expected him to be there. And you know, they always can reschedule your husband's interview, so how could you plan to be there? I am sure, your absence won't make any difference for the interview in thr Consulate in London. Relax!

So yes it was possible to leave before 1991.
Oh, yes, it was quite possible to leave and never come back. For most people it was not possible to travel abroad. Getting involved in relationship with an American guy could also bring trouble to the family.
It was a common complaint made by the Russian women I spoke to. If you think it is all of them, that is your conclusion not mine.It depends on whom are you talking with. Most of the womtn who seek to leave Russia through the marriage are disappointed in theit life and in Russian men. Most probably they are surrounded by drunkards, losers and jerks, because there are plenty of those. On the other hand there are also a lot of not drunkards and quite successful men
Depends where you live, what do you do for life.
Never was a problem for me to find a sober and successful man in Russia. Well, it's a bit more complicated if you want him to be also single, charming, sweet, sexy, intellegent, well educated, not too young, not too old, not a jerk, somebody you can trust your life, somebody who does not irritate you, somebody who shares your interests etc - but it's difficult all over the world (I am working in international company and we discussed this subject with the other girls)
As for me I had to go all the way to Denmark (by the way it was almost unthinkable before Yeltsen's time) to meet such a guy. He just happened to be an American

Congrats!

Yeltsen was a very contradictive leader, he made mistakes, he did a lot of good things for the country. He was often blamed for ruining the Russian economy, but people tend to forget the he inherited a pretty much ruined state. Actually the most difficult years were 1991-1992.
I believe he was on of the most charismatic leaders in my country for the last century, though not all Russians would agree – people loved him and people hated him, depends on the region, social status, education etc.
I respected him for being able to admit his own mistakes, for attempts to correct those mistakes, courage to act.
The most important thing for me was the freedom he brought to Russia and the other Soviet republics.
The worst things he did to my country were the war in Chechnya and Putin.

I believe, only the active form of TB makes you temporary eligible for the visa - it has to be cured first. It will show on the skin test, but I think only x-ray is required. Only x-ray can show if it is active form or not. I am almost sure, but I am not a doctor.

Congratulations!

I am very sorry. I believe you should follow Yordak's advice. Good luck!

Everything will be fine. I understand you, I was panicking myself. Breath in, breath out. Relax.

It takes exactly one month to get the police certificate from the Main Information Centre in Russia, and there is no way around it.
But then this is an issue with the Russian Consulates, they are usually slow, inefficient and not very helpful. At least the Russian Consulate in Denmark. The told me once that they send correspondence to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs only once in a month! So, the entire process of the obtaining papers through the Consulate may take up to 3 month! 2 months is not that bad
But she may try to go to the Consulate in person and try to negociate with them, may be they can send a request for the certificate asup. It usually helps to talk to them in person.

Congratulations!
Oh, I loved the story!
-
Congratulations!
-
They said everything is fine! They can grant me a visa
And they even allowed me to keep my passport so I can fly to my homeland for the Easter break. I will send me passport to the Consulate after me trip home
Such a relief! I am just wondering: even when they say that eveything is fine, they atill can start the AR, can they?
-
Congrats!
-
Thanks, all of you!
17,5 hours to go. I am so nervous! Barely can work since I have got this appointment

Best of luck! My interview was also scheduled on the 29th, very fast and quite unexpectedly (I sent a letter to the Consulate on Saturday, and on Monday they have already phoned me).

I just had an interview a couple of days ago, it went fine. The immigration officer was quite friendly, did not ask any nasty questions. I believe it took no more than 10 minutes. Don't worry, you will be fine.
