  1. Im Costa Rican. I have my interview for the tourist visa in three weeks and am preparing the documents, my itinerary and reservations, and everything to bring to the interview. I'm a student here in Costa Rica studying engineering. I'm just going to the U.S. to do tourist things because a friend invited me. But that friend is an engineer, so I thought it might be helpful to frame the trip as educational for me as well and have him include in his letter that he'll be showing me around his company, maybe set up some college visits and say I'm interested in getting my masters in the U.S. or set up other job shadows or workshops. I need all the help i can get because I dont own property and since I'm a student I dont work full time. But will this do more harm than good, making them think I plan to overstay? Can I even do these things on a B2 visa or does it require a different type of visa?
