    I very wonder......am I really alone about the system needing improvement?

    I can't believe no one wants to fight and change it. We have elections, and can write our congressmen and senators freely.

    Who's tired? are you will do make a stand and try get change?????

    Maybe another website is needed, because no one should have to suffer 8,9,10 months or even 5 years for those bringing parents over.

    This is the United States of America for crying out loud.

    Why are Muslims students and Mexicans coming over so easily?, while those of us have to fight like hell to get our loved ones here.

    2 years ago I watched while friends got wives from Japan, Uzbekistan, all in about 3 months. The system is a total mess now. It needs to be reformed.

    I bet you can't point to a muslims student or a mexican (why you selected them I don't know)that "came over" easily, and your total processing time was only 8 months... your experience doesn't appear to be particularly painful. I'm suprised you are not more excited about your pending reunion.

    Listen...In 2005 my brother-in-law walked into the embassy and did a direct file in a country where he was not living. (he was living in the usa all his life) 3 months later his wife was here.

    While working for a Japanese auto maker in 2005 I watched as one of my best friends married and had his wife here in 3 months.

    Don't lecture me. I don't make up stuff.

    I'm done with this website. The system is not right, when just 2 years ago it was so simple. DCF rules were changed and now we have this mess with USCIS. You people want belly ache and do nothing. Thats the problem you too busy watching your sports, doing other things, and no one takes time to write or call your senator.

    That's how we get laws forced down our throats....keep being silent.

    I'm done...say what you want.....i'm not responding to this post or website anymore...

    I made my apology for being rude to the first man...I eat my crow...chomp chomp chomp yum yum yum....

    Good luck to the rest of you.....amazing.... Fat lazy UAW workers can organize.....but those of us on the website just want stay divided.

    I'm just saying what others remain silent about. This system is not working for many of those people on this website.

    Sent the wrong chest xray with Immigrant Visa Package

    No you are correct, i'll clarify. In the courier's package I received another sealed package (the one that you are not to open) and separately a cover letter, my passport and another open envelope with my xray in.

    When I went for interview the Immigrant officer made it VERY clear that I should not open 'that' envelope, otherwise I would have to answer to him.

    Hope that clears it up

    I need to check with my wife....because I understand she only got a sealed package and passport. Now I'm wondering....if she will have to take another physical when here. UGH...

    Thanks for the speedy replies. It says on the covering letter that I received along with the immigrant visa package, that I "should be prepared to present the xray film" at POE. But as you both point out in your experience it was not needed. A while back I read a good point made on this site that said immigration officers would not know how to interpret a chest xray more than me...

    tell me....you opened the package before point of entry???

    My wife was told not to open her package she got with her visa. What gives?

    p.s. what really needs to happen is people need to organize and blast congress for this mess. I'm sick of it. I'm fed up with this system. I have 2 republican senators that I voted for...but be sure I will vote against them next time. After calling their office and seeing they could care less, I'm mad. I know I'm not the only person. There are thousands of us. The Congress doesn't care, and they all need to be voted out.

    Every piece of paper we make has the same information. too much paper work, and too much red tape. For any American citizen trying to get a spouse....it should be 3 months max.

    I guess RON123 has no retort to the DOS Uzbekistan Reciprocity Schedule which clearly shows 12 month K-3, this is what Department of State set for that country, and is why their K-3 is a 1 year one.

    MY RESPONSE WAS NOT TO OFFEND, BUT THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE PUTTING WRONG INFORMATION ON THIS SITE IT GETS ANNOYING.

    what I know is that my wife is being treated like a Dog, for one name missing on a paper. A paper that she was not allowed to fill out, but the LOCAL police had too.

    I know this embassy has treated her like ####### everytime she has dealt with them.

    I'm not even allowed to speak with a vice-consul when I call.

    To many local people are running our embassies.

    I know that our congressmen and senators care nothing for american citizens or our spouses because when you ask for help, they could care less. I've dealt with both my senators, and be sure they will never get my vote again.

    I have had USCIS lose documents. Cost over 2 months

    I have had my our papers from USCIS to NVC get lost. Another 2 months lost.

    And now I'm dealing with jerks at this embassy, because they don't have a head consul.

    Our case was approved back in June!!!!!

    Everyday thousands of Mexicans and God only knows who else come across the border into our country without proper papers or approval.

    A tourist from Germany or England has more rights than the spouse of an American citizen.

    Stop telling me how good it is.......The system sucks, the system is a joke. It needs to be changed.

    The paperwork Act isn't being followed, because every document you fill out has the same information over and over and over again.

    Until you people get busy and vote the existing bums out of office, nothing will change, and all those who come after us will suffer the same #######.

    I DON'T THINK ITS RIGHT THAT ANYONE HAVE TO WAIT THROUGH ALL THE #######. NOT EVEN YOU.

    IF YOU ARE MARRIED, AND A NATURAL BORN AMERICAN CITIZEN, AS SOON AS BACKGROUND CHECKS, YOUR WIFE SHOULD BE CLEARED TO COME.

    Tell me.....why should a person applying for a tourist visa have priority over any american citizen's wife?

    The system sucks...and from what I've read on these website's most people are getting screwed.

    This is not the promise of America. Its a system out of control, with fat lazy people who care nothing about the lives of millions of American families.

    The system needs change. Tell me...a person who comes to work for a company has a better approval rate than your spouse. Do you think its more important for our government to bring these workers over, before bringing a spouse over.

    When are you people going to stop taking it, and start letting these lawmakers know...the system it #######.

    I am having nothing but trouble with the embassy we are dealing with.

    My wife had her appointment last week. The local police had left off her name from her previous marriage from the police certificate. She was requested to fix this and she did promptly the next day.

    I have tried to call and talk with a consul, but the head consul post at this embassy is empty at this time.

    There are only vice-consuls. And they operators at the switch board will never allow my to talk with one. I'm treated like totally #######. The only people I have met with in this embassy was the consul who is no longer there.

    What's worse is the person that my wife met with in the embassy is a local, not even an american. I think they are jerking her around.

    Last week, when she went for interview, 6 people went, 5 were sent home for paperwork problems.

    I have called my senators office, and ask them to help arrange for her another interview, they said they can only send a fax.

    I got an email today, signed as general "consul"because they never put a name on their emails. Its says the interview will be October 2. I'm tired from this embassy jerking us around. My wife called to see about her interview (they are 10 hours ahead of us) and when she called, they were hateful, and would not tell her, only that she need ask her husband. What kind of people are these??? They are not americans.

    One problem and now we have to wait another week and half for interview.

    All travel plans and out the window, airplane tickets have to be changed, and I can't even get through to an american at this embassy to ask for help.

    I'm afraid they are not going to give her a visa, because this embassy is on a power trip.

    Her sister was denied an interview for a visa, because her hair was combed a little different in her photo. She had to wait another month and half for her interview.

    Any suggestions??? If your senator will only send a fax, who in the world can we ask for help??????

    Hi!!! You do not need to fill up ds-156k. its for fiance visa only. I just had my interview for k3 and i have my visa now.

    I sent in my I-130 on the last day of January. It was the end of June before I got NO2. Be patient.

    Everything on mine has taken longer than I thought.

    thanks.....the state department website is unclear about that....is just list documents required for K3

    Since you are already married, you do not need to complete the DS-156K. That form is for the fiance. For the K-3, you must complete the DS-156 instead.

    UPDATE!!!

    OK...I called NVC and they said they normally get in 2-4 weeks.

    Well then I called CSC, told them I had my approval from Jun. 25th, 2007.

    The lady there says they send all petitions once approved in 7 days!

    So I explained that NVC is saying they have nothing....and they decided to forward my case again...wait another 30 days.

    I am so frustrated. the I-129F says its good from the approval date until october 24, 2007.

    Now it looks like one month lost...and soon another. AND I THOUGHT GETTING THE USCIS APPROVAL WAS THE HARD PART.

    I CAN'T EVEN GET THE APPROVED CASE TO NVC......

    I129F NO2 recieved 4 weeks ago...NVC has nothing.

    Called NVC again today. Still nothing....its been 31 days since NOA2 was approved at CSC

    I'm beginning to think this is not right. Has anyone else had to wait 5 weeks to get a case number assigned at the NVC????

    Takes a good 2-4 weeks for CSC to send petitions to NVC, CSC tends to hold them up and send in one large truck load, NVC is in New Hampshire on the opposite side of the country, it takes at least 1 week to transport cross country.

    Yes but on my NO2 it says that its only good until October 24, 2007. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. 4 weeks lost already.

    Don't worry about that expiration date, the consular officer at the consulate can and do extend the expiration. Our Visa was approved long after that expiration date.
