In 2017 - after being in the US since 2005, as a Canadian Citizen, legal entry but no documentation since entry. I started my immigration process.
Approved I130, NVC case started, Provisional Waiver currently being processed.
My spouse is verbally and mentally abusive, spoke with a lawyer(I can't afford), and he confirmed I could apply for VAWA. Reason behind looking to change process is spouse is continuously threatening to revoke petition to control the situation, malicious and vindictive.
