I have read that a military record is required for the interview if a male has served. My fiance is from Ukraine and is 22 years old yet left to Poland to live and work. Will the U.S deny him a visa since he did not serve for 2 years in Ukraine as it is the law there?

We recently received our NOA2 approval on March 23rd in the mail. Should I start filling out the I-134f or should I wait for the letter from NVC to come? Or, should I call NVC instead of waiting for their notification letter in the mail? What are the next steps to take that will be most effective? Thank you!!

Normally it's about a month after NOA2 to go through NVC and get to the consulate. After that,m it depends on the consulate...some are within days and others could be a couple months or so.
Are these packets sent to the petitioner or beneficiary?

There will be a packet 3 and 4 (or just packet 4 with some consulates) with information on what is needed. This is after NOA2 and after NVC sends the approved petition to the embassy/consulate.
Specifics vary by country.
How long for these packets after receiving NOA2?

It's not...no idea where you read otherwise. The I-134 is presented at the interview.
Thank you! Will there be instructions on the NOA2 to start gathering documents for the affidavit of support?

Take your time a read through this guide:
Thank you, I have read through it. I just heard that they cannot approve the petition unless they have a completed affidavit of support first, not sure if this is true..

I filed our i129f petition for fiance one month ago. We already received our NOA1 and now patiently waiting for NOA2. However, I am wondering, will the request for affidavit of support come in the mail first or does the approval denial (NOA2) come first? And if they send me a request to fill out/send an affidavit of support, when will that be? Thanks so much!

It should be in English as the USCIS asks for. And they might email epackage 3 to him when your petition is transiting to the USA consulate in Ukraine .Make sure to call the NVC telling them his email address when you get your case status "approved ".So he won't miss this epackage 3. Also he'll need to fill out DS160 later when your case status is" in transit ", he can put his information on it including his mailing and email addresses and before he gets the visa payment fee printed out, he needs to fill in what address he wants them mail the passport or the other package.
Okay makes sense. So after petition is approved, will there be number in the directions so I am able to call NVC and notify them?

Okay thank you!
Do you know if the mailing address requested for my beneficiary is supposed to be in english? My beneficiary's mailing address is in Ukraine. I just don't know how they would mail anything to him if I put a Ukrainian address in english letters.

My i129f is 90% typed but there are many fields where I took a black pen and filled out "N/A" and also wrote some extra employment information in the back. Is it okay that its a mix of typed information and some ink?

The i129f asks for a 2x2 passport photo for petitioner and beneficiary. My beneficiary is in Europe and Europe's standard for passport photos isn't 2x2. I had my fiance send me his passport photo digitally where I then formatted it onto a white background on my phone and guessed the size. I printed it out as a regular 4x6 photo, glossy and will be cutting it out to 2x2 inches. Will this work? What does everybody else do? Should I also include a European physical copy of his European passport photo with the one I modified myself?

I am scared to write N/A because how would they forward any information in the future to his Ukrainian address? Do they translate it themselves from where I wrote his mailing address?(I wrote his Ukrainian mailing address in english where they specifically asked for his mailing address).

I filled out the i129f form but I am not sure of one question: Page 7, item 49a. It asks my beneficiary's name and address in his native alphabet. My beneficiary is from Ukraine but lives in Poland. However, when the petition is approved he will go back to Ukraine and do the rest of the process there (file for the visa in Kiev). It would make no sense to write his address in Poland in Ukrainian letters...so I wrote his Ukrainian address in Ukrainian even though that is not where he is physically right now.
We want the mailing address to be in Ukraine even though he lives in Poland right now.
The instructions state to write his physical address in his native language but like I said, it would make no sense to write a Polish address in Ukrainian, I want to make sure all mail goes to Ukraine. What should I do?

Hello, we scheduled our interview in Kiev, Ukraine and have all the required documents and were wondering if we should make an updated letter of intent to marry? I read that an updated one is needed to bring to the interview. Thank you!
