I have just received two machine-generated letters from the DHS, and do not understand what documents exactly they need from me. Is there any way to find out? I have called the USCIS hotline, but of course the don't know what's on a desk in Chicago.

If you have any experiences, I'd appreciate them very much.

if you have it figured out, would you please tell me if we need to fill out a household contract? The co-sponsor is my husband's father. His income is sufficient , so he would not use jointly owned assets in the I-864. Would he still need consent from his wife?

Dear all,

I have just received two pages from the DHS, saying they are missing documents. As it is just a machine-generated sheed with a box checked, I'm not sure what they want - I suppose an explanation why we did not submit tax return forms for 2005.

Has anyone experiences with writing an explanation that my husband (i.e. my sponsor) has not been working that year? I'd appreciate your help.
