  1. Got an email from CRIS today. I don't know if it's good news or not. I mean it sounds a bit strange to me. Most AOS applicants undergo an interview process before they are given their permanent residence card, right? How come I got this mail? I filed AOS last December and my Biometrics was done last January. They moved my case to California and recently I got an update that they are gonna send me a permanent residence card? ANyone who knows more about this please? I'm confused. Below are the 2 email notices from USCIS.*** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL ***

  2. Hello C&M. Im curious...Did the Immigration Officer really take a look at your X-Ray Film? Did you handcarry it or did you just put it inside your check in luggage? SLEC instructed us to handcarry it at the POE but most filipinas said they wont need it actually at the POE. What's the truth about this? Thanks!!!

  3. Hello Charlie. I went with MJ and another friend of ours, Aisyl, during the interview. I thought she looks familiar and when she mentions about her fiance being active in VJ, then it occured to me that this must be BusyCharlie's fiancee, hehehe. What a small world! Anyway, yeah, I can see how hard that has been for MJ. I can see in her eyes how upset she was while we were filling out our Delbros Delivery Form. But I am so glad about the sudden turn of events. Good thing the PC arrived now. Goodluck to you and MJ! I hope your case will be lifted out of AR real soon!

  4. Congrats Bien!:dance: Take your beauty rest girl!!!

Just wanna let the VJ community know that I also got my visa today. It was delivered by DHL at lunchtime. Thank God!!!

A million thanks to all the people here at VJ who have helped me learn a lot about this process. I couldn't have done it well without the forum's help.

Congratulations to all the rest who have been approved!

  5. Congratulations! Its good that you and your kids love it there so far. Thanks for posting your experiences especially your interview experience. I've read it before my interview day and it helped a lot. My intended POE as well is Chicago O'hare and im so glad I had your experience about this POE to read again before I'll fly in September. Enjoy your life in the US!

  6. Congratulations girl! Loka ka, di ka nagpakita sakin.. :D Delbros' site is www.delbros.com but right now the site is down. :-( Try to check it early tomorrow morning.. (Thats what my friend told me. She was interviewed too last August 3 and her visa is for shipment na). Hope we'll get ours too soon..

Hahaha!, Pasencya na, nagpunta kasi kami agad quezon city para sa studio tours, hehe. But im really happy girl na ok ka na. Yeah, antay nalang tayo ng visa natin, sana this week na.

  7. Ate Cora, kindly update my timeline po. :) The consul, himself, told me that he approved our petition (without me asking).. How nice of him.. :D:dance:

My preliminary interviewer was nice.. The consul who interviewed me was very very nice.. :D Yhayyy!! Thank God.

    Congratulations, Anne!!!

I got approved too last August 3rd, thank God!!! We're gonna wait for our visa now, hehehe! Hopefully it'll be delivered this week. By the way, do you know how to track Delbros?

  8. :help::help: I really have to admit I need help here. I am in the point where I realize I need all the help that I can afford. You see, my medical appointment is coming up this 30th of july and I have not gotten my packet yet. Like everyone else here, I believe that I am in the stage where I cannot afford to make any mistake and take any chances. Everything has to be certain right?

I have been banging  the embassy lines- both the customer care and their direct lines... and I am just not contented with their answer. Now I want to know from anyone here if my situation is really that bad. Or if this is not an isolated case at all. :crying: Everytime I think about it, I can only sigh. Can I actually go to St. Luke's without an apointment letter? Just my passport and picture and money will suffice? Or where can I print my appointment letter online? Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, Ror, good to see you here!, Hehehe. The advices from the girls above are right. About the printing of your appointment letter, I dont think we can find it online but just the appointment skeds which they say is ok to print too and bring it with us to the meds if we dont have the packet 4 yet.

Dont worry girl, you will be fine! Just call SLEC and request for a packet pickup. Have a nice day!!!

  9. What are the chances that the embassy would allow visa pickup? My friend's interview will be on July 26 and she's wondering if its possible for her to pick up their visas (her and two kids) a few days after the interview supposing they'd be approved. She's not a VJ'er, I dont know how this works so I hope anyone from this forum can shed us some light about this matter. Thanks in advance! :help:

  10. hi fellow vj'ers!

i had my early medical at SLEC last july 16-17, supposedly i am scheduled on july 30 but i prefer taking it earlier so that my anxiety will be lesser and all i would think about would be my upcoming interview..

i woke up early last monday but the taxi driver don't know where SLEC is located, so i arrived around 8AM..it wasn't easy and not a walk in the park at all! but the step by step procedure the guard gave me when i came in was very helpful plus the guide i got from visajourney..i finished around 5:45 in the afternoon and they asked me to return the next day at 1:30..

so the next day, i arrived at SLEC at exactly 1pm and go directly to the 2nd floor for the vaccination..i was only called for the shots at exactly 2:30! :o well im afraid of needles but it wasn't as painless as i thought it would be..then they asked me to go at the ground floor and wait for my name to be called..at exactly 3:30 i was called by counter A and they asked for my passport and 2 copies of 2x2 photos and sign some forms..then again..i was asked to wait again..then i was called by quarter to 5 at counter D..the lady asked me some questions about the information i have provided in the forms i filled up on the first day..i think they are confirming that everything written there are correct and accurate...finally she gave my my vaccination record and my x-ray film! yehey!! according to the visajourney, this is a sign that i have passed the medical!! i'm so happy! :jest: when i got home i immediately told my fiance about it and he was also happy!! :jest:

the waiting is really killing me for those 2 days of medical but nevertheless i gained a lot of friends aside from bien(my vj twin) and jenneth are also there.. it was all worth it because it lessens my anxiety..and most of all to finally be with my one and only love :luv:

all i have to prepare and wait now is my interview...

congrats to us and to all the others who made it through their medical appointments. miss yah girl!!! i enjoyed being with you and bien even if we didnt have the time to really hang out outside SLEC. hope to meet u again soon.

  11. i am planning to be there as early as 7, if you want we can meet up before going in then have breakfast first so that we will not be hungry inside because food or drinks are not allowed inside...

goodluck to us and see you soon ladies! :luv:

Thanks for posting the reminders on what to bring, rhe.

Yeah i think it will be a nice idea if we can meet up earlier then eat breakfast first before we go inside the clinic. Wow, this is getting to be exciting, hehe. Kitakits, Girls!

  12. Well, I'm all packed and heading for the airport to fly to Manila in the morning.

My mom had a nice idea for a picture that we're going to do in the morning. She made some signs welcoming my fiance "We're waiting in Chicago for you Jena!" and a couple others. In the morning we will take pictures of Mom and Dad and my sister holding the signs and I will give them to Jena to take to the interview. I think its a nice touch and shows how much my family already cares about her and have already accepted her into our family. They have also sent her several cards and letters along with pics over the past 19 months that she will bring.

    Kevin

    Goodluck on Jena's Interview!

  13. No! Heheheheheh!!! Nobody will miss a beat. In other words, it doesn't matter.

Hehehe, thanks for the reply! I just overreacted coz of fear of possible A/R. hehehe

It does not matter Jen! Special characters, letters or symbols are not printed or whatever...hehehehe...mine does not have a dash (-) only a space. So relax....and keep on smiling :jest:

Thanks, Bien! Hehehe Over anxious for the interview probably. I thought this might be a problem since my Passport and Birth Certificate used the ñ. Anyway, thanks for the reply guyz...hehehe
