  1. Hey everybody, im just wondering since my hubby and i are moving to Florida, do i need to inform USCIS about our new address? i haven't started my GreenCard application yet but i did get my SSN and EAD already. Do i need to call them and let them know what's going on? thanks guys!

You need to fill out a change of address form (AR-11 Change of Address form) informing the USCIS that you have moved. You can file the form electronically on the USCIS website and there is no fee.

    Who Must Comply?

All aliens in the United States who are required to be registered under the law (INA § 262 and 261) must keep the USCIS informed of their changes of address. The only aliens exempt from this requirement are diplomats (visa status A), official government representatives to an international organization (visa status G), and certain nonimmigrants who do not possess a visa and who are in the U.S. for fewer than 30 days (INA § 263).

You should do this within 10 days of moving. Best of luck in Florida

i really appreciate the info. thanks!

  2. Hi everyone! i'm planning to fly back to Manila this March. I am wondering if i should purchase a round trip or a one way ticket. Will this cause any issues in the immigration? Will they question me for buying a round trip ticket and since i have not sent my AOS application, am i considered a tourist here in the U.S?

I'm only staying in manila for 4 weeks. I hope someone could give me some info's.

    Thanks!

  3. I received an email from the USCIS about my Employment Authorization.

On February 12, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

However, I didn't receive any biometrics appointment letter. I guess, no fingerprinting? I'm confused. I hope someone can enlighten me.

    Thanks!

  4. Hello Everyone!

I'm planning to fly back to cebu by April for my brother's wedding. I've read somewhere that the immigration officer will unstaple the I-94(departure). What happens when i come back? I haven't sent my AOS yet. I hope someone can help me clear up my mind. I've been looking for some answers and i had no luck.

    Thanks!!! Salamat Po!
