My wife has informed me that our interview letter came as well. It arrived on Thursday; it is dated October 17th at 3 p.m. We may even see you there Lili.
Ah, that is funny! There is another Seattleite scheduled on that day for 8am!
Count us in for the 17th too, how funny is that??? Ours is at 11am. Finally! Let's hope the interviewers are having a good day...maybe we should bring them a latte
Good luck to all the Seattlites!
-
Waiting here also.
There is 3 of us from the Seattle office, I believe.
We're still waiting too, from the Seattle office. At least we know we're not alone! Hope we all get some good news soon!
-
Still no touches, nothing in mail....its time to contact the senator, I'm tired of waiting. boo hoo
We're still waiting too....
-
No touches here either. If I do not receive an interview notice by 08/20, I plan to make an an Infopass appointment with the local USCIS office in Portland.
I made an infopass appointment on August 18th. I doubt nothing will happen but it will put my mind at ease that no important paperwork was lost in the mail.
Yup, that is the reason I am making the appointment too.
We're still waiting too....we're at six months today since received date...I think skyblue and ours might be the oldest applications here! This stinks!
-
No updates on my status either. My lawyer says that there is nothing I can do except wait. I have decided to make an Infopass appointment in mid-August if the status quo continues.
OK well...i guess I will just wait and see what happens with your infopass. Good luck! Hopefully it wont be that long.
Hi guys, I haven't posted here yet, but we're waiting too! We haven't had any touches or updates to our AOS since Feb 13th! Hopefully we will all hear something soon!

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION
Current Status: Card Mailed On March 18, 2008, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service.
by my calculations, thats 43 days from the issue date of the NOA to the issue date of the card
YEA!! Congratulations!!!
Congrats!!! My husband got his AP approved and his EAD card ordered today too! Yay!
Did you have many touches on your application before those were approved? We have had about 5 on the 485, but nothing on the other two. Also, no touches since Friday
We didn't have any touches except for the NOA1. No touches after the biometrics either. Just got the two emails today. I was kind of in shock because I didn't think we'd hear anything for a few more weeks. Looks like they are getting to us February filers! Good luck to everyone! Let's hope for more this week!

Congrats on the NOA2!

Hi there! We are Feb filers too.
Can you please add us to your list?
I'm so glad this part is faster than the K1!
Good luck everyone!

Me too! How funny. They must be updating their records finally. Unbelievable! Four months later!

Hello VJ-ers, thought I would share this funny email I got yesterday:

On January 16, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. As you can see from my timeline, my fiance has been here for almost two months and we are getting married on Saturday. Gee USCIS, thanks for the email four months later!!! Unbelievable!

Congratulations to JesNSteph! Unfortunately, we were not issued a visa. We were told to gather more evidence and then set up another interview. Needless to say, we are very upset and concerned. Good luck to everyone else.
Oh no! That's awful, I am SOOOO sorry for you guys. What evidence did your fiance bring? Did they give you any idea what they were looking for?
I sent Florin a whole packet of stuff...this is what I sent:
1. About 60 pictures of us together, with my family, with his family, with his friends, our engagement ceremony at his church
2. About a year of our Yahoo chat logs (probably over kill...it was about an inch thick)
3. Call logs from Skype
4. Phone bills for the last year
5. Copy of his receipt for my engagement ring, receipt for our wedding rings
6. Proof of my traveling to Romania this last year
Anyway, I hope that helps. Do you have anything like that you could put together?
I'm really sorry this happened to you, and if you need any help or have any question, please feel free to message me!

We are scheduling our medical today and turning in Packet 3 as soon as possible. (possibly today?)
Hoping for an interview late next week or early the week after.
Will let everyone know how it goes!
Good luck to you guys! You should get your interview pretty quickly. Ours was scheduled within a week. It's pretty painless from here on out
Hopefully you will be together for Christmas!

Our NVC was confirmed to be there as of 11-19-07, and is being forwarded to Bucharest, we are wondering how much longer we should have to interview if all goes smoothly. The reason we ask is we want to buy plane tickets now to try to save some $$.
Also will it look bad if we buy a round trip ticket? She wants to go back next novemberish to visit her mom for birthday. Of course that is pending whethere or not she will be able to with AoS etc.
Hi JesNSteph! As you can see by my timeline, she should get her interview pretty quickly. I was shocked how fast we got ours! Don't worry about the round-trip ticket thing. My fiance bought a round-trip ticket and is due to land here in about an hour! It was cheaper to buy round-trip than one-way. I doubt anyone will think twice about that. We found a good price on Expedia. I'm in Seattle, so it's a very long trip - 13 hours. I also heard that Delta has a direct flight from Bucharest to New York, so you might check that out too.
Good luck and keep us posted here! It goes so much faster now!

Don't know what it means, but it sounds different from the approval notice.
Mine says:
Current Status: Approval notice sent.
On November 19, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.
i qnow that and it doesn't sound like approval....but why didn't they say denial?
Hi Laura,
I hope you get good news soon! This must be very stressful for you, I am so sorry. I don't trust what the website says anyway...mine says our case is still pending and Florin is on an airplane right now!
Unfortunately you might have to wait until your fiance gets the letter in the mail, or maybe he can call and find out. I will keep you in my prayers and I wish you lots of luck!

I just received a call from Samir. His interview lasted only 10 minutes and we're approved!!!
WOW nearly 7 months for a 10 minute interview.
Can't describe how happy I am that this leg of the journey is over. We have to wait around 8 days for the visa and we are planning to be reunited on December 7th.
Good luck to all of you out there waiting!
~Erin
YAAAAAYYYYY!!!! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you guys!
He will be the best Christmas present ever
Thanks Rosemarie, I'm still a little nervous though as it's only a 'tentative' appointment. I think I will ask my fiance if he will call the number you provided Rosemarie, as I would rather have something more concrete. Will keep you posted.Annette
We got our interview date December 7, well tentatively...he will need to confirm next week. I am hopeful though! Thanks for all the support, gang!
*hugs*
Annette
Great news
Congrats Annette! I hope they confirm that date for your fiance! Hopefully that means he will be here for Christmas, how wonderful!

hey, sorry to interrupt the good news waive, i just want to know if any of you have heard of people not getting out of rfe line....or does anyone know what could be the longest wait for rfe? it's been 2 weeks since our status online changed into case resumed, and a month since we actually got our rfe...any info on that?
Hi Laura, I'm so sorry you are going through this. It's bad enough to have to wait so long and then to add more time for an RFE. I do know of one couple who had to wait about 6 weeks. Hopefully yours won't take that long. Has your fiance called USCIS to try and get any information? As long as you provided them with what they requested, I doubt you will have any problem getting your approval. I hope you hear some good news soon! Keep us posted,
Laurel

I'm so excited!! What a rollercoaster of emotions over the last few weeks, I'm so glad this parts over! Thanks so much to all of my friends here at VJ for your support!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you know Florin received his visa today!
He said the interview was very quick and the questions were simple. I will let you know all the questions he was asked. He said the worst part was all the waiting. He waited about three hours. He also said the interview was not private, that he had to speak with someone at a window, but that other people were in the room. But all in all, it was not that bad. He was given the actual visa today so he doesn't have to go back tomorrow to pick it up. He was very happy he didn't have to go back again! So he will be here on Wednesday! I can hardly believe it!
Good luck to the rest of you! I hope you all get good news this week!

Hi everyone
I've had jury duty and working lots, so this is my first chance to look at the thread in a few days. Nothing to report, was approved on 10/18, NVC does not have it and spoke with a supervisor at CSC...they have no idea where our paperwork is
So much for my NOA2!
Congrats to all those approved who got to NVC and out so quickly..I'm happy for you all and extremely jealous.
Hi u2rsobad, try not to worry. They are such idiots there, I can hardly believe it. I was also given the impression that my file was misplaced or something wasn't right and just a few days later it was mailed to the NVC. And when I called the second time, they said nothing was ever wrong with our case and that it was on the way, no problems. I'd call back again if I were you. They make you feel like you shouldn't call and bug them, but don't forget that we have every right to know what is going on with our cases. Good luck and keep us posted! I think you will hear good news very soon!
