Hi,
I'm applying the GC for my mom(father deceased). I have a small question regarding how to fill the First Name( Given name), Middle Name and Family name(Last Name) in I-130. For instance,
If in my mom's birth certificate her name is 'Jenny Paul' while her father(beneficiary's dad and petitioner's grandfather) is "arachchi laxman johann fernando". In my country of birth, Dad's first name and last name is taken by the child. So my Mom's name used in all the documents except in her the birth certificate is 'arachchi Jenny Paul fernando' (this is the name used in petitioner's birth certificate too). Her passport has two fields: Surname and Other names(First Name, Last Name and Middle Name concept is not present in my mom's passport) which she has filled as Surname - 'arachchige', Other Names- 'Jenny Paul fernando'. I know that in i130 they look for the mom's name in petitioner's birth certificate('"arachchi jenny paul fernando") but I heard in DS260 the mom's name on her passport is the priority(Surname - arachchige, Other Names- Jenny Paul fernando). What should I fill Given name( First Name), Surname(Last Name) and Middle Name in i130 with ?
Thank you in advance.

Pl do not post the same question three times. It's considered spamming.
Sorry about that WeGuyGal. Sure.

Thanks a lot!.
I have one more question.
In my mom’s birth certificate the the name is little bit different from the mom’s name in my(petitioner) birth certificate. How to handle this issue ?
For instance in my(petitioner’s) birth certificate mom’s name is ‘A B C D’ where each letyer is a seperate word. But in my mom’s birth certificate(which is in English) her name is ‘B C’. A and D names are inferred from her dad(petitioner’s grandfather) as her dad’s first name is A and last name is D. Then ‘A B C D’ is used as her name in my birth certificate.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I’m applying the GC for my mom(father deceased). I got naguralized last year.
Online I saw multiple document checklists. For instance according to the uscis website only the i130, naturalisation certificate, fees and petitioner’s birth certificate needs to be submitted while some friends in visajoirney had posted that they submitted copies of mom’s passport, mom’s birth certificate, mom’s marriage certificate in addition to i130, pettitioner’s birth certificate, fee and naturalization certicate.
What is the document checklist that needs to be submitted along with i130 as of now(2019)?
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
Im(naturalized last year) planning to apply the GC for my mom(my father deceased). I have a couple of questions.
1) my mom is a housewife and unemployed. Does it make any negative impact since consuler officers may think she’ll apply for unemployment benefits once becoming a permanent resident ?
2) my mom doesn’t have considerable money in her bank account(I as the son is the 100% sponser). Will it make any negative impact?
3) When i go through ir5 trackers and immigration forums, i can see that time takes for processing ir5 is roughly 11-14 months. Is it correct and does it depend on the country of residence of my mom ?

I called USCIS and could talk to a Tier-2 Supervisor too. But he said to wait for USCIS to contact me as it's indicated on the Appointment De-Scheduling letter - 'We will advise you of any further action taken on this case, including any rescheduled interview information, under separate notice.'

I got a letter from USCIS that they have De-scheduled my oath ceremony for August 24th which I received a day after receiving the Appointment Letter for the Oath Ceremony. Is there anyone else from the Oakland Park office that received this notice, by chance, or from any other office for this date?

Are IR5 visa cases in NVC stage expire after a timeframe. My moms visa was processed by NVC but was not able to move forward to an interview for almost an year because of the visa issuance pause on the executive order?
