touched on SAturday 6/26. But nothing else.

Atleast yours has been touched recently. Ours has not been touched since 5/4, the day after getting bio done. I hope CA service center get going again soon.

Yesterday I called USCIS again and spoke (again) to an officer who could not tell me anything about my very delayed biometrics appointment. Today my appointment letter was in the mail.

How come their system is not updated nightly? (Why am I even asking this???)

What is going on with CSC? No action in almost a month! Hope they get back soon!

I haven't got my biometrics appointment letter yet and looking at the list (April filers), I'm getting nervous. So I called the Infoline and was passed to a supervisor, who was able to tell me that my file is at the local office for my town. She also told me that I would be having my biometrics at the local office instead of downtown where I would expect they would be done.

Thinking about this - I suspect that the local office (police station maybe?) is responsible for security clearances, whatever name checks they do for ROC, that sort of thing, and when they're done, will release my file for biometrics at the usual downtown location.

Is it significant that I'm in Arizona???

We are in Phoenix.It took a little over a month for us to receive the Bio appt letter for my wife. our NOA1 date was 3/10 got our Bio letter about 4/20 and the appointment was 5/03. The local office we went to was, USCIS Application Support Center 2545 East Thomas Road Phoenix. This is where you are most likely to go. I am not sure why they are slow getting to aapontments. The day we went, there was not many people at all there. Hope this helps.

Hmmm. I'll say call uscis just to be double sure it hasn't been sent. 1 month is a long time to be waiting for the ASC letter. It is however not impossible for it to take this long. For your peace of mind, I'll suggest you call. Let us know what happens.

Just got the Bio Appt letter in the mail today. We are happy that a call was not necessary. I appreciate your response.

I noticed some of the people that filed after us are getting there Bio appointments. Sent packet in 3/08/10 and received 03/10/10. Got our NOA1 letter right away. How long should I wait before I inquire why we have not gotten our Bio Appt.? I know for a fact my local post office has miss delivered mail of mine before. I hope this is not the case this time. Just don't want to miss appt. if they did send letter and we did not get it. Give us your thoughts. Thanks!

I would like to know, who of you February and March 2007 filers applied ONLY for the CR1/IR1 (I-130) and has not received an approval yet.

I am still waiting myself for approval. I see you have had some touches on your I-130. You are doing better than me. Mine has not even been touched since the NOA-1 was sent out. I wish the CSC would get it together and get ours approved. I sure miss my wife I agree it is very frustrating just sitting here and waiting. Hope we all get approved very soon. Good Luck to you.

I have contacted several senators and congressmen to initiate inquiries and those that have responded send the same letter from USCIS CSC Congressional Liason office: They are processing applications from December 13 2006 or earlier. When I talk with them, or when I speak with USCIS representatives, they all say that USCIS CSC has not processed I-130 or I-129F cases for spouse visas from March 2007 that did not have an expedite request. Yet there are several people here on Visa Journey who claim that they have received NOA2 for either or both and that the filing date was in March 2007. So who is telling the truth? My guess is the VJ'ers are, but unless we can give specific case numbers as evidence, we can not make an arguement as to why some cases from March are processed and others are not. I am curious as to what your thoughts on this are. Although I have not put my timeline below, my I-130 was received at CSC March 23 2007, and am coming up on four months. There were no touches until a week after I sent requests to congressmen and senators, but after one week of touches, two weeks have gone by with no progress. Yes, it is frustrating, but when others are getting processed and yours is not and it is in the same time frame it makes one wonder what is going on. What to say of those that are waiting even longer? Imagine how they must be feeling.

I know what your feeling. My I-130 was received at CSC March 22, 2007. There have not been any touches at all on the case since it was received. I noticed to that others are showing movement on their cases. I check everyday hoping that it shows some progression on my case. But day after day it is just disappointment. I have not contacted any congressmen or senators, but have thought about it. I hope all of us start to see the cases received at the CSC in March being processed very soon. I am a late March filer. My file has not been touched at all since it was originally recieved. I hope something starts to move soon. I see others that have gotten allot of activity to their case.

Well, you've missed your first opportunity. If you and your wife want her to be known by your surname you should have submitted the I-130 petition using your surname.

Your next opportunity will be with your next submission, whatever that will be. Presumable an I-129f petition since you are posting in the K3 forum?

Does anyone have advice on changing my wife's last name to her married name? When I submitted the I-130 form we made sure we filled out everything to match all her documents. We want to use her new last name but we don't want to make any mistakes with any forms.

We are starting the process for a K-3 visa. My wife and I are filling out the I-130 and G-325A. Since we are already married should her family name on the G-325A be shown as my last name? Since she does have a new id in Philippines with my last name already. Then just list her maiden name in the other names?? That is what I am having her do later today when we fill these out. Can someone tell me is that correct? I appreciate any info anyone can give on this. I have searched this site which has a great deal of good information. But could not find a clear answer to this.
