  1. Thanks.. i am not getting a straight answer from either the travel agent or the airline directly. I feel better after reading your reply but I'm worried that your flight was so long ago. I'm worried that the laws may have changed or that this may be a new law..

    Thanks

I recently purchased a round trip ticket for myself and a 1-way ticket for my fiance on the same flight. After i booked the flight and paid for the tickets, the travel agent (expedia) called and told me that there was a problem. She told me that the Philippines government does not allow 1-way travel originating in manila when the ticket was purchased outside of the Philippines. Apparently the Philippines government wants their tax dollars as well. Has anyone run across this? It sounds credible but I've never heard of it before and I've read just about everything from VJ. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

I purchased my round trip and Marlene's one way ticket outside the Philippines. She just had to pay the travel tax before she was given a boarding pass.

  3. I know I'm getting ahead of myself a little considering our interview hasn't even been scheduled but I had a question that I haven't seen asked. I am planning on going to the philippines and flying back with my fiance and our infant daughter so that they don't need to make that long trip alone. When we arrive at the Port of Entry, obviously my fiance will have to go to the non-US citizen immigration line but which line should I go through? Should we stay together or should I take the baby (who is also a US citizen) and go through the US citizen line?

  4. I am preparing my I-129F initial submission and I'm making 3 sets as it is recommended. Most of the documents I will have 3 copies of original documents such as my birth certificate, all the signed forms, etc but other documents such as plane ticket stubs I obviously only have 1 set of originals. When I should submit the originals? Should I send them with my initial submission or should I send copies and keep the originals to send to my fiance for her interview? I really do not want any delays at all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  5. I am preparing to file the paperwork for a K-1 Visa for my fiance in the Philippines. The thing is, she just gave birth to a little girl. As I am the father of the baby, she is automatically a US citizen. I have the procedure already for getting her birth recognized and a passport for her issued. The question is, do I need to list the baby on the I-129F form since I will not be including her on the visa? I don't want any delays for this since I'd like to get my daughter and fiance to this country as soon as possible.
