Thanks guys, I'm sure things will turn up soon enough. I will keep you guys posted.
I'm sure it will be ok.
I've been also trying to check case status online for the I-131 and I-765 online but its not finding my case?
Anyone have any advice on that one?
Thanks

My wife received the NOA's for the I-131 and I-765 today in the post really happy to get them. But we haven't received the NOA for the I-485.
I'm guessing it will arrive separately in the next day or two or could it mean that there's something wrong? Are they only sent if all 3 are being sent out?
Thanks in advance for the help...

All is going well with her visa application. We've got everything is place and hopefully we'll have the interview in the next week or so. I was wondering if anyone knows if I'm aloud to accompany her to the interview?
Also any tips would be greatly appreciated. We've been going over the paper work numerous times and we're 99.9% sure its correct!!!
Thanks in advance for your help..

They won't approve or deny you based on whether you were a student or unemployed. This isn't a professional or work visa, nor is it a resume for a potential employer. You don't have to demonstrate a good work history, and you don't gain any extra points by putting a spin on it to make it look better than it actually is. Be accurate and not misleading about your work history, because presenting something that is lying, misleading, fraudulent, or omission of a relevant fact is the big thing that could get you in trouble in ANY immigration form you fill out. As long as you avoid getting in trouble for being misleading, you should be fine.
Having said that, if you were studying full-time, I'd probably say "student" more accurately describes your situation than "unemployed".
Thank you for the good advice lucyrich, Its like when u fill in any sort of employment thing you would state that u were in full time education not unemployed.
I have to agree on the keeping everything right. I'm not leaving anything to miss and will present the truth and relevent information...

i read somewhere on the thread here that you should put student if you are back in school and not working
That sounds good Saying I was studying as opposed to be unemployed sounds alot better...

Just filling in the work for the past five years. It says to not leave any gaps in the time line. I would be working during the summer and then back to college in winter. But I was not working during the school year.
I would perfer not to be putting down unemployed for 8 months in a year. Makes me look like I'm lazy. So would it be in my best interest to highlight that I was studying at that time?
Thanks again guys your a massive help...

I'm just about to submit my I-129F form this week. Should I wait til the new one is out or just go ahead with the old one?
Appreciate the advice...

Thank u guys sorry bout that. Just wasn't sure and just want to keep it right.
Entering on a big step here in my life
Thanks again
Well the photos are proof of having met over 2 years ago. But I wonder is that enough. We've got tons of photos of us away together and everything plenty. I hope 2-3 that are over the 2 year mark are enough. I can prove we travelled away together at the same time but that was only a year and half ago.Sorry if my questions seem silly. Just want to keep myself right!!!
They want pics LESS THAN 2 years old. They want to know that you met WITHIN the last 2 years. Hope that helps.

Just on the subject of photos, I've been going out with my fiancee now for 3 years in march. The only proof I have of us meeting in the over the 2 years is photos during the summer and her 21st. Our first trip away together wasn't until the following summer which would only be a year a half ago. We've been abroad numerous times but all under the 2 year mark. I take it won't be worth submitting our passports with stamps? Are the photos going to be enough. I've e-mails but thats it. Kinda frustrating as I'm unsure and worried. I know we've met over 2 years ago and I've plenty of people who could swear to it but I've to convince the people reading my application!!Thank u in advance for ur help guys. People on here are so helpful.
I'm not intending to hijack the thread I figured I had a question about photos too so it saved starting another thread
Can both of your passport stamps show that you were at the same places at the same time? Pictures can be pretty good evidence, but if you have boarding passes or hotel reservations or receipts, or letters, phone records, text messages, or something it can help. You can put in a good story of how you met and your relationship and all and explain what you just wrote above.

Thank u for your help guys. I just read there about the change of address online service. That makes things fairly easy!! We're not sure where we will be going first when we move. But probably to family and then from there to our own place so we should be able to easily now change the address when we move!!!
Just want to make sure I'm on the right page, don't want to screw anything up. I want it done right. Don't want my fiancee being sent home for something silly. Hehe
Thanks again guys your helping me out

You guys are amazing !!!! Lightning speed replies. Thanks for such quick reply guys :-)Sure I do have the passport stamps with dates on them and all tickets except one. (however I do have the return which proves I did go there to come back. ) I guess I'll attach about 6 photos and another 6 phone bills from each of us is what I'll attach.
Now for the interview (assuming my petition gets approved), do we use the same submitted evidence or we still need to provide the more current emails and phone records.
As far as extra relationship evidence was concerned, I think we put in about 6 pictures, and a small selection of phone records. That's it.We saved everything else for the interview.
What other documents do we need to keep gathering from now onwards for the interview process ? Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks again.
To prove ongoing relationship, engagement ring receipts are quite good, new letter of intent to marry from both of you, letters, emails, phone records etc.
The stuff which may take the longest times are police reports, birth certificates, name change documents, divorce certificates etc, and all of these translated.

Hi there,
I so glad this web site exists and its been a great help for me and my fiancee. Theres just one question I want to ask is in regards to Q14 on the I-129F form about the address in the United States where we intend to live.
If you don't have an address of where u intend live yet what would you do?
Thanking you in advance...
AP and EAD approved Question..
in Working & Traveling During US Immigration
Posted
Hi there guys
Got up Monday morning to some great news that both the EAD and AP were approved on the 23rd Friday last.
Still haven't got the the paperwork in hand, just wanted to know that if worse case something happened and it doesn't show can they just issue us it at an infopass apointment since it has been approved?
Also is there an initial date the AP is valid from when we filed we put a proposed travel date on the 23rd Dec but my wife is thinking bout going home early. We don't want to book flights til we know that the AP will allow her to travel early and also that if it doesn't arrive in the post that we can go and get it.
Thanks in advance guys....
