My husband was on AP since April 2011. Finally his AP is over. He recieved Visa on April 19,2012

Our visa was CR1 and a few months ago it changed to IR1 so its good for me or not, and what is different...

I wish to update you all that I called embassy today. The operator confirmed receiving of documents they asked for. and said they have forwarded my case for review of visa officer and as soon as he reviews my file the visa will be issued Inshallah. But said he can not say when the case will be reviewed.

Hi. Im from Pakistan. I was issued F1 visa on 18th Dec. 2009, but it was not printed on my passport then. The interviewing officer told me that my case would undergo security clearance and other procedures and it would take some time before I will get my passport and visa. He also gave me an email address so that I can know about the status of my passport. Its been close to 8 months and I have still not received my passport. When I wrote to that email address, I got no reply. I've emailed close to 20 times but still nothing. I tried calling the U.S Embassy here in Pakistan and after several hours of waiting, the only response I got was that my case in still in process but did not give any specific date.

I wanted to know the average waiting time of F1 visa in Pakistan. I cant wait indefinatly. Time is ticking away and I dont know how much longer I have to wait.

Any kind help or information will be appreciated. Thanks

If you get a mistaken visa that says CR-1 take it and RUN! It can be fixed later and you don't need any other complications with the embassy. . .if it gets fixed before it's stamped, great, if not, still jump for joy.

After I got my Invoice Identification Number from an operator by calling NVC at 1-603-334-0700, I immediately logged on Immigrant Visa Invoice Payment Center in order to pay my bill online. Here are the screenshots as a reference to clear up all the confusion since the online system just starts recently.

1. After I entered my NVC Case Number and IIV, I got an option to which bill to pay. (Note I already paid AOS bill using James's Shortcut)

2. Now I can input my bank information after IIV has been authenticated.

3. Agreed to have a direct withdrawal from my bank.

4. Payment successfully submitted.

5. After I hit "CONTINUE TO RECEIPT", I got this screen.

6. Here's the receipt again if I need to print it out.

Now go pay your bills online. Good luck y'all!
