He's from Pakistan. The US assumes everyone wants to immigrate here. He has to prove he has no intention to immigrate in order to get a tourist visa. That is often a challenge for someone from Pakistan. If he's employed and has a lot of $, he has a high chance of getting a visa. If he's unemployed with few, if any assets, he's out of luck.

He said he needs a letter from you because it will "cost less"? Sounds like a scam to me.

Thank you for responses. I very much appreciate that. He says the government says a letter from a usa resident will cost much much less than getting his own tourist visa. 

Im guessing this will not work out. Sad. 

I only wonder as they go through my paperwork will my husband be aware. 

First off thank you for reading my profile. 

I am married serious about divorce and considering marriage with a lawyer in pakistan. I know you think he is using me but i have talked to his family. 

He needs a tourist Visa but will my spouse find out. I dont want to jeopardize my marriage if he is the wrong choice which i know he is not. My husband is not good to me. 

The question is will my spouse know? He will only stay 2 weeks.
