  1. Thank you, Julie! If I were you, I'd give it a try and called the CSC. We got an online status update and "CRIS approval" email the day after we called. They said they were sending a duplicate NOA2 by regular mail too. Hopefully it will come soon.

    These are the prompts we used calling USCIS to get to a representative at the CSC (oh, and it should be the USC calling, they won't tell any info to the beneficiary):

    * 1 for English,

    * 2 for main menu,

    * 2 for reporting an issue,

    * 4 for more evidence,

    * then 2, 1,

    * then entered our case number (with the WAC at the beginning, that is 922+10 digits).

    * then it took us to a representative in the service center.

    So, we haven't gotten any notice of the NOA2, but we received all the papers from the NVC, and the US Consulate in Canada. We called CSC (I used your prompts! -Thanks!!) and the man we spoke to said it was approved on May 1st. He said that there was probably a "glitch" in the system which is why we never received a hard copy or even email for our NOA2. He said he would send one out right away.

  2. A fellow Manitoban! =) Well, I'm not much of a 'Pegger fan either. If it weren't for my American Significant Other, I wouldn't be in Winnipeg still, that's for sure.

    So, your interview is in MTL? I have my K-1 in Vancouver.

  3. Just had my medical done at Dr. Drexler's office last week, too. Pretty much the same. Going back tomorrow to pick up my results. When I was there the nurse said they didn't do many and I had the lady in the lab confused. Good luck at your interview.

    oooh... another Winnipegger! =)

    So it takes a bit over a week for them to get the results back, huh?

    Best of luck at your interview as well!

  4. So, I just had my medical exam today...

    My appointment was for 1pm, I arrived @ 12:45. It was in the Manitoba Clinic on Sherbrook.

    I had to give the nurse my case number, which was on my Interview letter which I just received TODAY. I'm assuming they didn't need the actual letter to confirm my interview date since she only asked for the case number.

    So, anyway, the nurse gave me a little form to go pay for the exam. It was outside the room to the right. I paid and went back into the waiting room. The nurse looked over some of my medical records, which were still there since it's the same clinic my pediatrician is located. She gave some more forms and told me to take those and my passport to the X-Ray room which was outside of the current room to the left.

    The X-Ray room looked like I walked into the 70's. So yeah, that was paper gown # 1. Took the X-Ray, waited, then the nurse said I was done.

    I headed back to Dr. Drexler's office and the nurse asked for my 3 pictures and told me to wait in the examination room and strip down and put paper gown #2. Waited a few minutes. Dr. Drexler came in and went over the Vaccination Records, and wrote down what I had. I didn't need any shots. He then asked a whole bunch of questions... Do I smoke? Do I have any heart problems? Do I have leprosy? and so on. He then took my height, weight, looked in my ears and mouth, took my blood pressure, listened to my breathing, simple breast examination, felt my stomach, quick peek 'down there' ( I guess to make sure I'm really a female) =) and that was that. He said he was done, and I just needed to get bloodwork done.

    So the nurse gave me some more papers and sent me to the lab in the basement to get my blood drawn. I was told I'd get a phone call as to when I can pick up the results. Everything took about an hour and 15mins.

    So yes. Just wanted to give a little overview of what I had to do @ my medical. =)

    I also got the interview date I requested. July 19th in Vancouver! =)

  5. Hi everyone! I'm glad to see the NOA2's! =) I'm in California visiting my USC fiancee. I looked in his mail the other day, and I found a letter form the National Visa Center saying out I-129F was approved and being forwarded to Canada. The letter was dated May 17th, 2007.

    I didn't receive any email or even a letter from CSC. *shrugs*

    Anyway, I'm happy!! =D

  6. Boo on th RFE's. At least we know there's something going on at CSC besides mere touches. My USC fiancee has been checking the mail, and nothing. Just the touches on our case last week.

    Good luck on the rest of the January group waiting for the NOA2's. Thanks for all of the support from everyone, I really appreciate it. It helps so much. Hopefully next week will be a better one. :D

  7. I am a Hairstylist- always easy to find work in that field.

    I think when I get back to US, I will take a Floral Design Course. Right now I am working in a Flower Shop and a Greenhouse. I love the Floral stuff.

    Mel (USC) does a few things- He is a Notary Public, He teaches a Business class a few nights a week and he works at a company analyzing data and stuff.

    I'm a hairstylist as well. :) I love what I do, but I'm going to have to build a brand new client base... in place I don't know many people. That's alriiiight... I would like to eventually open up my own salon.

    My soon to Hubby is in Law Enforcement.

    It's interesting to know what everyone does on here. :)

  8. Hi Everybody!

    I woke up to a new day and as always, I checked our case status first thing in the morning...

    And we got TOUCHED!!!!

    Yippee! I know it might take a few days or weeks before we get approved (hoping for no RFE), but it is such a great feeling to know something is going on with our petition. I can't help smiling and being happy :D

    I hope this will be another great week full of approvals!! Good luck to all of you :thumbs:

    YAAAY on the touches!

    I hope they crank out the rest of our NOA2's by the end of the week. *crosses fingers*... I hate being impatient. =S

  9. Wait for the RFE. Many people have received problems calling them up. It may or may not be a problem. Dates of residence are approximation, they're not concrete. If they don't ask for RFE, then you're all set.

    And, if you want to change it, it may take up to 45 days to change it.

    Yeah, I understand they're an approximation, but they years are completely off. It hardly even makes sense. :unsure: I can't believe I didn't catch it.

    If I contact them and TRY to get it changed, you're saying that could delay my application 45 days??

    I would just leave well enough alone and wait to see if they contact you for more information (RFE).

    If not, you can always correct the dates at your interview later.

    Good luck.

    So I guess I'll just have to anticipate an RFE, if they catch it. I wish I could do something now.

    Thanks.

  10. I was looking over the photocopies of the whole I-129F package that my fiance sent into CSC... I was looking at his G325A forms and noticed that the dates for my former residences were incorrect. I remember while I was typing the dates into the form, some other date sections of the form would auto-populate with what I was typing into different fields. I can't believe I missed this, despite supposedly triple checking everything... :( I was just wondering if there's anything I can do right now? Can I contact them and let them know of the error? -or do I just wait for an RFE? Thanks in advance!

  11. I'm not sure about how long it takes from the US. I went to the Passpost office in Winnipeg to get my passport renewed on February 1st, waited there for just about 4 hours. The office opened @ 8am, and I arrived at about 8:15am. The security guard said that people were arriving daily at 6:00am to wait until the office opened. I received my brand new passport on February 21st in the mail... about 3 weeks, not bad.

  12. Yep - it is true - the beloved Canadian CoffeeCrisp chocolate bar will soon be available in the US! Read all about it here! (Now, if we can focus our attention on getting a Tim Horton's in Atlanta, everyone . . . .):-)!

    http://www.coffeecrisp.org/

    Wow. I didn't know they didn't have Coffee Crisp chocolate bars in the the States! There's no Tim's in California. :( I got my Mister addicted to Tim's each time he visited me. :)
