Yes, which I obviously anticipated, that's why I got all my stuff ready to Send out as soon as I get their request. Now all I can do is
A: Hope that request arrives soon and
B: hope they get to work on it as soon they receive my documents and Grant it within a few days.
Im not aware of other peoples time lines in similar cases so im Not sure if my hopes are realistic.

Well so far I only had contact over the phone with them regarding Expediting my case, so they havent requested anything yet.
I called monday explaining the situation and wednesday I received those Updates sayIng that they assigned the case and Sent out a response to my request.

Call them tomorrow, if says completed either was mail something to send evidence or was accepted. I wouldnt go till 7 days from the flgiht to get emergency AP.
Called today, talked to Tier 2 agent, who told me that I should receive something in the mail (not Email, just regular mail) soon. That will probably be the request for evidence, including cover letter etc.
I have all of that ready so I hope I can send it all out with priority mail the same day I receive the USCIS mail. And then I guess it really depends if they will look at my case immediately.

Update: 2 new messages on my uscis profile today
-your request to have your case expedited, referral number "***********" , was completed.
-we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited, referral number "***********"
However, I have not received any Emails or phone calls from them!?
-
As of yesterday it says on my uscis profile "your request for expedite has been assigned to an officer for response". Now I guess all I can do is wait and hope they contact me.
-
Im completely aware its not a life/death situation but I still want to get there asap and I will go ahead and try to get the emergency parole if nothing happens on the expedite request soon. I am going to be honest with everything and then its up to the agent to decide. If he/she does not grant the parole I will respect that and move the flight back etc.
-
Like I said my flight is still 2 weeks away, should I still try to get the Emergency AP asap or wait a bit.
-
Thx for sharing, I hope they will give me at least a month or no expiration date at all.

Just got it completed. Did not have to pay.
Congrats, what was ur emergency if I may ask?
-
Thanks for clarifying.
I will bring the NOA, a new I 131, 2 photos, birth certificates of me and my siblings and the doctors letter. I think that should be all.
-
From what I found it should be free in emergency cases too, but would be great if someone can confirm with certainty.
-
So a new I 131 but I dont have to pay the Fee correct?
-
What do you mean by "summary letter/application"? I dont think ill need to give them one since they got my I-131 already at their Service center.
-
Im glad you were able to book a new flight. What airline did you choose and did u have any sort of insurance? I will definitely ask them to do that for me too if my expedite/emergency travel parole fails.
-
I agree, i will have to hope that the agent will consider the letter as "serious enough".
-
-
@Unidentified what did your doctors note say?
Also, since I have already applied for the I-131 with my AOS package I will NOT need to pay any fees for the emergency travel parole again correct? I guess all I need will be the 2 photos!?

in short it says : due to the very serious progression of Mrs....... disease, I deem it necessary for Mrs.......to be in the presense of her closest relatives.
-
It does say that the disease is incurable, however it does not say that it is terminal at this point, cause that would be a lie.
-
yes the doctors letter is in english and in my first language.
-
She does have medical records, none of them are in english though.
-
I am going to be honest and say that back then my information was that it takes about 90 days, so I thought for sure that I would be able to travel soon if my mothers conditioned worsened.
-
I think I will not even mention that I have a flight booked already
-
The thing is I have heard of people who got it granted for rather minor reasons like weddings and then I read of people who didnt even get it despite a life or death situation. I guess it really depends on the officer too. Im not gonna lie about it, if I dont get it so be it, but im gonna and plead my case

Thx for the info. Crazy that faxing is still a thing in 2018 when email would be way easier and more efficient.
