Go to the ustraveldocs website. You'll find contact info for customer service. Call that number and ask to confirm the location.

FYI- I does update!! It changed from CR to R1.

Please be advised that a visa is not really approved until it is issued.......and there is always the possibility of administrative processing delay.  Therefore, it is advised to wait until your visa is in hand and checked for errors before booking flights, etc.  Hopefully, your status will be "issued" very soon...Best wishes.

Thank you but that doesn't answer my question. I want to know how the embassy will know where to send the passport if the lady never took the paper that indicates where to send it... 

Hello, my husband's visa was approved on Wednesday. The lady at the consulate said we would receive an email letting us know when the visa/passport would be ready for pick up; she said it would be within 2 weeks. I showed her the paper with the location we chose to pick up the passport (the paper has a barcode and indicated that we should take it with us to the appt) but she seemed a little clueless... she said the email will provide instructions. Does anyone has any sight on what to expect? Thank you!! **country: El Salvador

You need to create an account on http://www.ustraveldocs.com.  The UID number is the number that appears right next to your name in the right hand corner of the page (where it says "logged in as").

What happens with the copy of the XRay they give you? 

Hello- my husband attended his medical exam in El Salvador today.  The doctor gave him a CD of his XRay.  The cover of the CD says "for personal use only/not for immigration".  It's that odd? (the part where it says "for personal use only/not for immigration").  Will he be required to show or hand in the CD?  Thanks so much!

Ah, ok... the instructions are different for our countries. Glad you were able to get your medical done.

Hi, if you know register (or at least sign up), you won’t be able to get a UID. That’s necessary to book your medical exam.

Hello, my husband received his apt letter via email yesterday. We followed the directions to register his apt on nvc.state.gov & obtain the UID number... I'm a little concerned b/c there's not much else on the site.  On the left hand side it just says "New appointment/schedule appointment, group scheduling request, provide feedback, update profile"...

At what point in time will additional information appear, ie- the date of his apt that we received on the letter?

Also, we had to give the medical doctor the UID number to make the apt. Does the doctor add info to this site?
