So my I-129f's expiration date is on February 28. If I dont get the interview before I know they will extend it. But do I have anything to do for it or they just do it automatically ?
So many details I read that like few months ago and cant remember about it now!
Thanks
Mephys
it would be automatically extended in China. But I am not sure about it here in Canada, hope they will do the same.

But what do the processing times shown here mean?: https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/Proc...nter=California
Just dont worry about that. That's the oldest cases they are processing or waiting for the RFEs, who knows. the average waithing time for a normal case should not be 6 months. It should be about 3 months at your service centre. relax .

hello VJs:
I just got my noa2 in the mail box. the weird think is that, unlike most of you guys' noa2, it says my petition has been forwarded to the listed consulate(Montreal). why they didn't send it to NVC first? i am so confused. they don't want to do my background/name check or they will do it later which is what i am worrying about? does anybody here experience this kind of noa2? any help or suggestion will be greatly appreciated! thank you. one more thing, Can I change my consulate to Vancouver?
I don't know if its good or bad. I got that wording on my NOA2, only they didn't list a consulate, on 11/29. Now it makes you do extra work to figure out where it really went. I still don't know where mines is, consulate doesn't have it, NVC doesn't have it, USCIS is not helpful. NVC says they will search for it if it hasn't got there in 90 days, but don't know if they will search for it if the NOA2 didn't say it was sent to the NVC. I'm going to give it another month and then contact a Senator.
Most of those in this situation, "listed consulate", have actually seen it go to the NVC first.
Good luck.
That's too bad, hope it will go well soon. is it really no way to track the case? I am worrying about mine too. It didn't list a consulate in my noa2 either, just I thought the consulate is in Montreal because I live in Toronto. I think what you got is exactly the same as mine(except for the personal info). please let me know if you get any update and good luck with the rest of your journey.

I thought that they have to go through NVC. Ours was only 2 days there so maybe it was quick??
I think thats true, but how do you know when NVC receives and sends your case to the consulate? I mean how do you know exactly the date they got your file?

If you have enough time, I think it is better for you to do it because you care about the process and they dont. all they care about is their profit and efficiency.

in my case, it was specified to take 5 2x2 pictures. 3 for the exam and 2 for the interview. but when i went to the exam, they just cut my pictures to fit the exam form.
