Small update to those of following SJC field office, just an update from people I know.
Filing date : Jan 25 -> Interview date : 8/15
Filing date : Feb 10 -> Interview date : 10/02
Filing date : Feb 24 -> Interview date : 10/10
So, March filers should start receiving updates soon.

Oh I was referring to this San Jose specific thread (Weirdly, the information for your timeline in there is all wrong):
Apologies, looks like I might have mistyped the filing date incorrectly over there (Jan instead of Feb). Feb 24th or so is my filing date 🙂

Hi Shaup, I have been wondering about you, and if you had heard back about an interview yet! I haven't heard anything, but not expecting to before you January and Feb filers do. (I am a late March San Jose filer)
What are your NOA and fingerprints dates? I'm confused: In the San Jose Field Office thread you put Feb 21st as your biometrics date, but here you are saying March?
Hi Bandaria,
Yes, my dates are as follows :
- Filed online Feb 24th
- Fingerprint March 20th
I just stuck in this thread since my date was late Feb and almost March 🙂
Is there another thread for Jan/Feb filers ? (sorry, I didn't search for them)

Good afternoon everyone. Congrats on all the folks who are getting done with their interviews and oaths.
Any updates from anywhere in California. I'm in San Jose field office and haven't heard from USCIS after fingerprint in March.
Hoping we are close, but not sure since I don't see any Cali updates :-)

So I'm done with (I hope) my last interview with USCIS. For anyone interested, here's the summary of my experience at the PDX office:
I was scheduled for 9.20. Thanks to VJ and other friends, I knew this would have to be a combo interview (even though the appointment letter didn't mention a thing about ROC) so I went with my husband. At about 9.50, I got my name called by an officer who tried to tell me they didn't need my husband. I mentioned the pending ROC and he switched to commending me for bringing him.
Officer Cole was super nice and gregarious. He had my thick file in front of him and asked if I brought anything else he still needs. I offered a bunch of stuff, he only took my latest IRS transcripts. Asked how we met, if we have kids, told us that we'd be surprised about the kind of explicit "evidence" some people send etc. We joked and laughed, and the transition to the N400 part of the interview was almost unnoticeable. I was surprised he didn't kick out my husband for the 2nd part, but he said that, since he seems willing to obey orders, he can stay.
For the civics questions, I had the following:
- What is the supreme law of the land?
- What is an amendment?
- Who vetoes bills?
- What is the capital of your state?
- What do we show loyalty to when we say the pledge of Allegiance?
- Who did the United States fight in World War II?
For the reading/writing part, I had the same sentence: "The White House is in Washington DC."
All good, but he explained that he cannot recommend me for approval right away because he needs to update my ROC application and they have a new system that's a pain etc etc. At this point I brought up my upcoming trip to Romania on September 16, and he said he'd do his best, but if I don't get an oath letter in a month, to make an appointment to get the stamp in my passport, and they'd schedule my for the oath after I return.
And now I can (almost) shred all the bits and pieces of evidence I have gathered over the years
For everyone still waiting, hang in there, the end is in sight!
@evapaula did you file in March and are already done with your interview, that is pretty fast. Congrats !

I’m looking for some information on how long it is taking to complete the US citizenship process (filing/fingerprinting/interview/oath) in San Jose, CA
My status :
1. ONLINE APPLICATION around Jan 25, 2018
2. FP (Finger Printing) Feb 21, 2018
3. Online status says "We reviewed your biometrics"
I'm waiting for interview and trying to see when it would approximately arrive since I need to plan some travel.
If anyone has filed around the same time, could you please update.
