It's like asking "can I drive a car while waiting for my driver license". Lol, of course not. You can't work, you have no rights to do so.
Well, it is not the same. Based on the USCIS people in OPT can work after this is expired while applying for H1 which is a work authorization. You can find the info in this link https://www.uscis.gov/working-united-states/temporary-workers/h-1b-specialty-occupations-and-fashion-models/extension-post-completion-optional-practical-training-opt-and-f-1-status-eligible-students-under-h-1b-cap-gap-regulations
So I guess it is valid to think that it is possible to work after the OPT is expired.

Guys my EAD was successfully expedited. Just got the update that my card is in production.
I got a job offer yesterday, but things were so hard financially that I decided to request an expedite last week based on financial hardship alone. I scanned all overdue bills on one document along with privacy release form from congressman and requested the expedite last week Friday. Please, it is WORTH A TRY. DO NOT WAIT FOR OFFER LETTER, Show them that you are struggling and write a heartfelt letter explaining your circumstance if its dire.
Fellow March filers- our time is coming and things are looking up.
Did get an appointment in InfoPass as well?

You qualify to apply for an expedite. Apply with USCIS and then get your congressman involved. Your situation is no different than those who get expedited from getting job offers so I don’t see how this would be a long shot.
Do you know how can I find out who my congressman is? also should I contact him/her first or your I go to USCIS first? Thank you

Hi Everyone,
This is my case: I was under F1 visa and doing my OPT year when I got married and filed for Green Card including EAD and AP combo. Unfortunally my OPT year ended before getting the EAD and I dont know if I can keep working or not. I dont want to lose my job right now. It will be a terrible economic and profesional lose.
Does anyone know if I can keep working while I wait for the authorization. I know we are not suponed to start a new job while waiting, but since I was working while I applied can keep doing it? Please help!!!

If you have been waiting for your AP for like 3 months already, I'm pretty sure you would get it before the end of the year. Check your uscis status online to see if there is any update. If nothing happens like in 2 months, of course you can always make an InfoPass appointment.
Thank you!!!

Need to vent. I just feel so depressed. I know this process can take more than a year but ughhh.
we filed feb 21st, biometrics march 26th and nooooothingggg since then. So frustrating. I really want at least my EAD but it looks like its never gonna be here. 124 days since noa1!
I got you!! we got the NOA on April 4 and then the biometrics and since then nothing happens. The updates on the websites do not change and I was planning to fly back to my country but we just need to be patient and wait for the EAD to come. best luck

Thank you guys for reply so quick. What can I do If I don't get it in around 160 days? Should I request an appointment at the InfoPass?

Hi Everyone,
We are new in here; I would like to know how long is it taking to get the AP and EAD card. I haven't been in my country for so long that I can´t wait to go back. Also, We are planning our second wedding, and everything is booked and ready (including save the dates) for February. It has been more than 90 days since we sent the package, we got the NOA a week later, and two weeks later I went for my biometrics appointment. I am getting nervous and impatient. Can you guys share your experiences with us?
Thank you

Hi,
Thought I was the only one from Boston. I feel it is taking forever in here. I have a friend who field in February and she has not gotten anything.
My timeline is:
03-23-2018: Filed status change, EAD, and AP
04-03-2018: NOA1
04-27-2018: Biometrics Appointment
Since then I just got in July 24 an update that my finger prints were processed.
Please let me know your timeline.
This is killing me!!
