How did you know to book your interview? Can you book your interview before you do your medical?

Hi, sorry if this is repetitive. I’m currently in the US visiting my fiancé and we just got our new case number from the NVC. I’ve booked my medical for July 23rd and was due to fly home this Sunday. I’d like to extend my trip by two weeks or so...would that impact our case? I would obviously rather stay here for a little longer with my fiancé but don’t want to have a huge impact on our case!! Thanks in advance for the help
