Angel Eyes, If this is your husband, why are you posting so many times "huney I love you come home"? Why dont you pick up the phone and call your husband. Stars and angel icons are cute if you are 10, if you are a grown woman, and you see your husbands cry for help on a public forum, CALL HIM.
If it were me, and I saw my husband post like this, I wouldnt be sitting and saying oh baby, its ok, come home, cause thats just blah blah. Get in a car & drive to bring him home if you love him so much.
Actions speak louder than words!!!
What an amazing coincidence that they happen to be trolling the forum at the same time. No way this is for real.

Thank you! I hope it all works out. I guess one piece of evidence I could use is that I was home. I was on maternity leave, not to mention we had so much snow we couldn't even get out of our driveway. Snow like that is abnormal around here so nobody was prepared for it.
The "undeliverable" thing happened to us recently as well (although it was only the biometrics appt letter, it still cost us a month of waiting/wrangling with uscis). After looking closely at the original letter, which we received after I called uscis, we noticed that someone had put in the wrong delivery address (uscis' fault, not ours since we have received every other piece of correspondence. Somebody neglected to put in a "1" where there should have been one). Anyway, after speaking with the case officer on the phone I gather that this sort of thing happens more frequently than it should. I'd suggest that you call the 800 number, explain the situation to the "pre-screener" person, at which point they'll forward you to a case officer who can actually help you. You'll probably need to do an infopass as well. Frustrating, yes, but it worked for us. Good luck!

I have a friend for whom the "meeting in person" rule was overlooked. He had very clear and documented medical reasons related to the climate in the Phils.
"Very clear and documented" being the operative words there . . .

Me and my fiance has not met yet in person for he wasnt able to visit me yet due to a very reasonable reason, however he wants to get me and my children to come to US.as we read in fiance visa we need to meet first in person.there fore in our case that we havent met what do u think is the appropriate visa for him to apply so he can get us?
Please reply I need your advice.
Thanks
Sweety
My advice is for you to meet in person. That's really your only option.
-
Is it possible for my fiance to file me a visa without getting to see each other in person?what visa is appropriate to apply then?
sweety
It's possible, but extremely unlikely. I believe that the general rule is that there must be some "hardship" reason for you not to meet in person (and it must be a really good reason). One of the key pieces of evidence they look for in issuing a fiance(e) visa is proof that you've met in person. Your chances are not good without this proof.

It's not uncommon to receive the NOA's separately.
You could try getting both of their biometrics done on the same day... just take any documents with you.
Thanks for the quick reply. Can my wife have biometrics even if she hasn't received her "appointment letter?" Not sure if this will be the case, but one never knows . . .

All,
Just wondering if this is the normal course for things AOS-related. We filed for AOS for my wife and daughter in late January. Received NOA1 for daughter's I485 as well as biometrics appt. for her already. Only NOA1 for wife thus far is for her EAD. Shouldn't we have also received NOA1 for wife's I485 too? Or are their cases unrelated now? A bit confused, and of course USCIS has no information in their database yet. Thanks for any info.

Hmm . . . here's a bunch of "junk scientists" who opine on the matter

Way to go USCIS is kickin' 'em out before Xmas eh? Congrats.

I really hope you are a budding psychic
Hmmm . . . we'll see. If I'm right, this prediction will be free. As for the future . . . yes . . . it's clear . . . I will need to bill you . . .

Thanks Courtney - I am sure everything will be ok - it seems very few unfortunate people *hugs Audrey* get RFEs so I will hope and pray you get good news - you know someone is doing something to it at this very moment!! How exciting is THAT?!
My spidey sense tells me that you and my other fellow mid-to-late-Julyish folks are damned close. I was sandwiched between you and STP (she of the monobrow) in filing time. Soooooonnnn . . . I can seeeeeeeeeeeee it . . .

First of all, congratulations to all those who have already received NOA2 - BILL Y BELLA!!! We got a second TOUCH today. Yesterday was the first. What does it mean? Any suggestions? I was quite excited by the first touch but this second one....... not very encouraging. What do you think..............???
I got my first touch one day, second touch, and then approval.
They never touched it once the entire 5 months of waiting until that day, so take it as a good sign.
Yes, a touch is totally a good thing.

Gah... I tried calling the NVC just before, but the number doesn't seem to work for me... I used 001+1+603-334-0700. I'm probably doing it wrong. Or perhaps I can't call them from Australia? Help?
try 001 603 334 0700.......thats what I call from UK
001 is same as +1 so shouldn't need to do both
Nope... Still not working for me. The phone number is incomplete according to the recorded voice.

I think the movie looks quite good...I'll take my 10yr old cousins to see it and let you know if they become atheists
I took my 11 yr old son to see it last night. Strangely enough, after the movie he never mentioned anything about metaphysics, but he thought the bears were way cool.

I wa sin boy scouts in Canada, but was never part of a church!!
Me either. We met in the National Guard armory.

Even so – this does make me wonder why those people think its their job to provide the “heads up”.
Because we're unable to think for ourselves, of course. The stubborn use our god-given intelligence has led us to a state of blind sin. We should therefore trust in their superior ability to decide for us what's good for us. Kinda the way the Democratic Party operates <ducks>.
Religion and politics in one thread. Awesome!

Some branches of the Christian religion, specifically in the United States, owe more to Old Testament Judaism than New Testament Christianity.
Not overly in the mood for a theological debate, but I'm curious as to what you mean by this observation.
I don't know what he meant, but Southern Baptists (for one) tend to get more into the fire and damnation of the Old Testament rather than the salvation of the New Testament.
Hmm well . . . I'm not Jewish, but . . . I can safely assert that the Jewish religion has no belief in hell, or, by extension the "fire and eternal damnation" that are a uniquely Christian interpretation of some of the Old Testament. Hell and eternal damnation (the concepts of, etc.), as it turns out, entered religious belief through the New Testament. Those things have nothing whatever to do with Judiaism. Who knew? lol
I'm godless, so I don't have a dog (kind of ironic) in this fight.
Hahaha. I waver back and forth myself. I'm currently of the opinion that the god most people worship is themselves. Since I try very hard not to be one of them, maybe I'm godless too? The mind reels . . .
Anyway, I'm not trying to pick a fight. Just hoping that my Jewish bros can be accurately represented.

Looks like an invoice for the purchase of a bride. IMO, who gives a ####### what you spend?
Agreed. What the hell are we trying to prove with that? Aside from pondering the hugely inflated "costs," I found myself wondering what kind of tool would ever hold that kind of ####### over his intended. Unreal.

Editorial Observer: What Part of 'Illegal' Don't You Understand?
By LAWRENCE DOWNES
America has a big problem with illegal immigration, but a big part of it stems from the word “illegal.” As a code word for racial and ethnic hatred, it is detestable.
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/28/opinion/...70&emc=eta1
I'd love to see people here reconsider their use of this derogatory term on this forum. Something to think about.
"That awful power, the public opinion of a nation, is created in America by a horde of ignorant, self-complacent simpletons who failed at ditching and shoemaking and fetched up in journalism on their way to the poorhouse."
