Hey we are in the exact same boat. My application was delivered on nov 12 and I called them this morning, but no luck, they haven't filed yet.

My current status is F-1 Visa, doing OPT STEM which is valid until 4/30/19. I'm going to marry within a month so I'm preparing the i-485 & other forms by myself. 

I'm wondering that if I better to file i-765 and i-485 at the same time or not. Because I still have a valid EAD work permit until next year. Should I file it separately later?  

If I will have a new EID card, is it better to keep it as a backup for the period after my current EID expired? The new EID card will have a start & end date?
